The 918 Pool Guys, Inc.

No show four times in the past month. No communication. I called, texted and emailed multiple times without getting a response. Left my pool in horrible shape and never came back out to open.

They promptly came out, performed a few hours of work, and never showed up again to finish the job!! Pool looks terrible now and already paid most of fee...

If they were any kind off business person they would do what they promised, and per contract would start the project. They give false hopes to the consumers.

They are scammers, they stole my pool pump and they tried to extort money.

This company is absolutely the worst contractor I have ever dealt with in my life. I paid them $1,000.00 to buy materials to replace my pool deck, install a new skimmer I already purchased for the pool, repair all necessary plumbing, powerwash and repaint the pool. They signed their invoice saying the job would be completed in 7 days. They worked one and a half hours on my pool after ten days. The contract invoice stated another $1,000.00 was due at mid-job and a final $1,000.00 was due when the job was completed. Then they told me they needed another $3,000.00 more before they ever checked the plumbing and then another $3,000.00 for the pool deck. The supplies they bought were brand new so I said you give me the $1,000.00 dollars back and you can have your tools. They called the police who came to our house and said I needed to give them their tools back and then take them to civil court. I gave them their tools. If your reading this review you might want to check the background of the employees who come to your house to work. The police told me they both had criminal records. I am filing in Civil Court against 918 The Pool Guys to try and get my $1,000.00 back because they kept all my money.

Prompt and efficient

After I called every company in town and could not get anyone to come out and clean and repair my pool in the freezing weather I finally got these guys to come out the same day I called them and not only did they clean and repair my pool but the repair cost was more then I had budgeted so the manager gave me 30 days to pay the remaining balance when I only asked for 2 weeks. So yes I highly recommend the pool guys they was very friendly and knowledgeable.

I don't typically leave reviews on anything but this is definitely an exception. This company is the absolute worst. The one positive thing I have to say is that they came out quickly. I called them on 10/25 and Kyle came out on 10/27, left a bill with a note saying he will return Monday with a part he was missing. He did come out Monday with the part and "fixed" it. He left without putting the panel back and when I called to see if he was done they told me yes and that he'd left the panel off on purpose in case I needed in. I found it odd that he didn't say anything to me when he left and was done. I paid while I was on the phone with the lady (one of his family members) and was instructed not to put water in until the following day. The next day, I got home from work and added water to the hot tub to find the fitting he put on leaking. I called back and they said he'd be out the next day (Wednesday 11/1). He did not show up. He didn't respond to texts. This happened again on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. He did show up late Saturday at dusk with no communication of when he came and went. I had asked him to fill the hot tub and ensure it wasn't leaking and that there was no air lock. He never responded to my text but he got it because he put the hose in to fill it up. He never knocked on the door to tell me that he was leaving it on so when I went out there the tub was overflowing and flooding my side yard. Oh and the tub was still leaking. We went on like this for another week (11/4-11/10). The only way I could get him to answer his phone was calling from another number. My wife got him on the phone and he claimed he should be charging for every trip (for the same repair that was never repaired). He quit responding to her once he didn't show when he told her he would. She messaged him on Facebook and he responded with "the hot tub shouldn't be turned on within 4 hours of glueing". I about died. He was trying to blame us?!? The breaker for the tub has been off the entire time it's been down so it was never turned on during any of the repairs. Anyway, this insanity went on for over two weeks in total and I will say he did come out just this past weekend (11/12) - again with no communication - and put tape over the pipe and screwed in the panel. I obviously unscrewed it to check it and found two leaks this time. I'm not calling him back out. I'll find someone else and eat the $98 he charged. I've requested a refund numerous times with no response. I will give his sister credit for at least being a liaison between us and being sympathetic to our situation. She did respond to texts occasionally too. Anyway, if you have made it this far, DO NOT use this company. Save your money and go elsewhere. I don't understand how anyone can do business this way and stay in business.

This was an amazing experience. They contacted us immediately, came right over, assessed the job and returned to complete it in a very prompt manner. Were extremely professional and very friendly.

Got off to a shaky start due to miscommunications with the liner manufacturer but once everything came together they did a good job. Even worked on Sunday to make sure to meet our agreed upon deadline. Liner looks great ! No wrinkles or creases anywhere.

Hard working group! My pool was a swamp, they did a great job of cleaning it up, expensive, pool 🏊🏻 is open! Happy!!

Did not follow through on project. Did not complete work. And also will not respond to phone calls.

So far they're doing an excellent job we still have a lot more to do

They did an excellent job of opening and cleaning; HOWEVER, what I needed was pump inspection and repair. I typed this request when initially contacted and repeated it often. They did not listen to why I hired them or what I needed. We had already done most of the opening. They were polite but ignored my requests concerning the pump. I paid for service I didn't want or particularly need and had to hire somebody else to solve my problem.

They were on time and really cleaned our pool. I will recommend them to others. We can't wait to swim !

Very friendly and professional. They were available to come over the next day after I called. They were knowledgeable of my system and corrected all the issues.

Very efficient. Nice and polite employees. Got the job done in a timely manner. Pool looks great.
