Water started leaking into our basement during torrential rain so we called them out for an evaluation and quote. The gentleman tried to get over $10,000 of work out of us by saying the wall needed braced, new windows, new sills, all in addition to replacing the drain pipe to the street. Sure, a 33 year old house could use some upgrades, but the issue causing the problem was simply the drain pipe being broken/clogged so the sump pump discharge was pouring back onto our foundation. Another company reassured us the wall was fine. (Common sense told us it was fine too.) We are getting entire drain replaced for $4200 with Rose Plumbing LLC who did not try to make a mountain out of a mole hill. I could have fixed the main problem for $900, but opted to do it all at once with upgraded material for $4200. Maybe ya'll do nice work, but is it needed work?

Here at The Basement Doctor, we’d like to provide full solutions that give us the ability to provide long-term warranties. The recommendations made by your project manager were done so in an effort to provide you with a permanent, long-term solution. After reviewing the pictures from the inspection, we would recommend that you keep an eye on the window that appears to be leaking and on the cracks that are in the wall. In our 36 year experience, once these issues begin, they usually get worse with time. Should you notice that the window continues to leak or the cracks continue to get worse, please reach out to us or a qualified foundation repair contractor to address those before they get worse.
