Use them for a VA loan inspection. There was a small area that had signs of termite damage, the wood around this piece had been replaced years ago, there were holes for treatment all around the house and there was not visable signs of termites. We agreed to have the house treated, it had been a while and they came back in a couple of days and did the treatment. When the report was sent to the VA loan agent they wrote that there was signs of minor termite damage but no proof that it had been previously treated. Our loan officer tried to contact them several times with no luck, in the end the loan officer "waivered" the termite inspection requirement so the re-fi could go through. Very stressful all the way around.

"Richard, evidence of previous treatment by a certified applicator must be provided by the seller of a property. Our noting of previous treatment is not sufficient for a VA loan. While we provided this property with a treatment and Termite & Moisture letter, there was no information provided to us for a previous treatment within the past 5 years. Also, we have a 24 hour scheduling line to be reached for these types of inquiries at any time, and have no record of multiple contact attempts being made regarding this property."
