"On October 11th 2018, our technicians cleaned and inspected Mr. Joseph V{Redacted per customers Request} fireplace/chimney which included running a chimney camera up the flue liner as well as a full inspection of the exterior of the chimney. When our technicians went to advise Mr. Joseph V{Redacted per customers Request} of the damage, which included the chimney crown, Mr. Joseph V{Redacted per customers Request} said ?the house was sold?, and was not interested in the repairs which included the pan/cover to stop the water coming in from the top of the chimney. He stated he was going to fix it himself with high temp masonry caulk. At this time we converted the job to a chimney cleaning only. On October 12, 2018, Mr. Joseph V{Redacted per customers Request} emailed our office asking where his inspection report was? We informed him that possibly there had been some confusion because our technicians informed the office he was not interested in the damage or the repairs to correct. We then told him we would be happy to send an estimate for the repairs and a detailed inspection report. The estimate was sent on October 12th, and the detailed inspection report with pictures attached, was sent on October 16th. On October 17th at 7:28 AM Mr. Joseph V{Redacted per customers Request} emailed our office ?I have received it. Thank you.? We did not hear from Mr. Joseph V{Redacted per customers Request} again until October 29th at 11:42 AM, nearly 12 days later, stating ?Am I to understand that your chimney inspection will only include an estimate of repairs and not a detailed report of the findings, good or bad??. We are confused due to the fact that the inspection report he received was detailed with pictures and clearly showed the fireplace/chimney was not safe to burn which we also informed him via email on October 12th 8:10 AM. Mr. Joseph V{Redacted per customers Request} inspection was based on factual findings only. We regret that the outcome was not to his liking as it relates to the sell of his home. It is The Chimney Doctor?s obligation to notate when a fireplace/chimney is unsafe. Detailed inspection report and pictures are available for review."
"We were not aware of any problem with the billing. An invoice and estimate (to fix the issues) were sent through email and that's why we did not reach out and call. There was an issue getting these emails to her, but we kept trying until she confirmed receiving them."
