Beware of this contractor. We had a horrible experience with them. Multiple mistakes were made by them that we ended up paying for. Our unhappy experience throughout culminated in the workers covering parts of our stone patio with congrete (see photos). One of the owner managers came out promptly to get his final payment from us, which we gave him in good faith. During his visit he promised to repair the mess made of our patio during the following week. We’ve haven’t heard from him or anyone else in the company again. 5 weeks… crickets.

My deck replacement had its challenges. In most construction jobs there are bumps in the road. When these bumps happen it is how the company handles the situation that really defines if you have picked a good one. I had to contact the company may times and when the owners got involved, they tried to rectify all the issues. It was a frustrating situation where grace had to be a consistent part of the process. One thing I would recommend if you chose this company is to make sure you have a project manager assigned. Hopefully they will communicate with you, and you won't have as many bumps as I did. I can honestly say that when all is said and done, I have a solid deck built. Now would I hire this company again, possibly they have a good product and have been generous in their handling of my issues.

The Composite Guys crew of Glenn, James, and Lorenzo is amazing. This trios, expert skills, high standards, and genuine concern for the customers satisfaction are truly beyond my highest expectations. I have high standards and they exceeded my standards. I was kept informed of progress and plans for the next days work. And they are genuinely nice people and that includes contract coordinator, James L. and the office coordinator, Christina. Really pleased with the deck extension. They finished in five days and my neighbors are already expressing how good it looks. Everybody that sees it is in AWE about the how good it looks and the quality of the workmanship! Recently I mentioned to a colleague that I had my deck extended by The Composite Guys and could not tell him how impressed I was because he kept going on an on about the replacement deck they had built for him. This conversation has happened with anybody Iâ ve talked to that has hired them. Thank you.

The Compost Guys did an outstanding job, with executing our dream deck. Joey was very helpful with finding the right decking material that fit our budget as well as helping us envision our new deck. Wardell and Danny did an amazing job with our old deck demo and installation of a 14’ x 32’ composite deck. They were very professional and kept both myself and my wife in the loop every step of the way. We had several last minute changes to the project (extended the length of the stairs and added a skirt under the deck) and the team was extremely helpful in completing our new vision and very responsive to the changes.

The 3 men team of workers who actually built the deck was professional, and dedicated. Glenn was professional and worked diligently to complete the job in 5 days. He cleaned up at the end of the day and took his waste and mine to the dump. Glenn always informed me as to when he would arrive and he worked way pass sunset everyday to complete the job in a timely manner. His 2 assistants were just as respectful as he is. I would recommend The Composite Guys to anyone looking for a deck company. They quoted me a reasonable price and stuck to it. No hidden or undisclosed charges. They gave me an estimated time of completion and completed the deck on time. Their workmanship was excellent. The deck looks great!

The Composite Guys did an excellent job!!!!! From start to finish the crew which included Wyndell, Danny and a few others when needed went over and beyond!!!! Everyone including John & Christina were so helpful, professional and where there for us during the entire process. We are so happy with our new beautiful and safe deck. Composite Guys is a fantastic contractor to work with. They finished the deck under the estimated time and it looks great. They provided and quality product and didnâ t disappoint us in the least. Matt and his crew were by far the best contractors we have had in our 24 years living in Virginia Beach. They were always on time and courteous, straight forward, true professionals, and left the worksite clean, not only at the end of the job but as they worked. They didnâ t destroy my wifeâ s plants and surrounding garden in the process. Whoever recommended them to us off Nextdoor, thank you.

I have to agree with the other reviews here. These guys should be the model for ALL companies in how they work. Waddell, Danny, and Brian were absolutely amazing. On time every day and worked all day, making sure that everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. I couldn’t believe the attention to detail that they put into building my deck and while I knew it would be nice when finished…WOW never in a million years did I think it would look this awesome. Not only were they professional and knowledgeable, but they were extremely personable. I enjoyed talking with them and they were always very willing to explain what they were doing and how they were doing it. I could go on and on about them, but suffice to say they should run seminars to contractors on how to conduct business and do any type of home projects. If you’re thinking of getting a new deck don’t waste your time searching for a contractor just call these guys. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

I highly recommend this company. They are very professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. Asa and his assistant did an outstanding job replacing our deck with composite boards and pvc and aluminum railing. They were very personable and professional, explaining and consulting along the way! They cleaned up along the way and left the yard impeccable! We couldn't be more pleased!

The Composite Guys recently replaced our deck with a brand new one. We are very pleased with the job they did - it looks GOOD! The team that worked on the project, W, Danny, Camille and others, were excellent. They were easy to talk to and took a great pride in their work. The craftsmanship was excellent - attention to detail and desire to do things the right way so that the deck will last a lifetime without problems. The materials were also very good. Great company

We had a very positive experience from design to completion. They came out brought several decking choices, prepared a quote and after researching reviews we hired them. We love the dr long choice we made. Looks great and no maintenance to do. Glenn who installed the deck was so professional and knowledgeable and made it all work. We followed the existing footprint of the old deck but he definitely made improved on the layout. The crew was a pleasure to work with and have around, always making sure it was what we wanted or suggesting a better way to achieve the look. I would use them again.
