First have to say, that he is polite and professional. However, my experience with him did not go well. Ever since I put up my job request, I was bombarded with calls and texts from this individual. I had originally let him know that someone else was going to repair my PC, but at the last minute, they could not come and help, so I posted another request. He was the first to reach out once again, and I decided to give him a shot as he seemed to be very persistent. I asked him to install a liquid cooler, install additional fans on my PC, and solve a software issue that made my motherboard continuously beep. I should say that this is my first PC build, and the parts in it are very high end and, therefore, very expensive. My original issue was only software related, but since I was going to have him here, I thought I might as well have him do some additional work and see if I could learn something since he was a professional. Unfortunately, I was mistaken and disappointed throughout my time with him. He seemed flustered and confused, and at one point, I had to walk him through a BIOS install of adding additional SSD cards to my system. His work station was also messy and unorganized. I constantly had an uneasy feeling when he handled my PC, and I was constantly correcting him on how to install the hardware, which is something that I would think an expert or even experienced person would know. After 3 hours of this, I had to step out of the room to make a call, and while I was occupied for all of 10 minutes, he had swapped the cooler on my CPU, which is the most delicate part of a PC as most know. When I turned my PC on, the temperature of the CPU read 210 Fahrenheit! I immediately asked him if he reapplied thermal paste to my CPU, and his reply was that it was not necessary because the previous application was still wet. This was absolutely impossible and complete nonsense. The last application of thermal paste was three weeks prior, and the paste itself was exposed in an air-conditioned room for the entire three hours he spent putting in the fans. He insisted that the pump he installed was faulty and could not offer an explanation for the temperature of my CPU. He then asked for $200 for his work. At first, I gave him the $200, but after voicing my frustration, he returned $140 and left. After only a few minutes in which I reapplied thermal paste to my CPU, my CPU?s temperature returned to normal. While it may seem that all was well afterwards, my software problem still persisted after this whole affair. Now, I am still left with a beeping motherboard and sixty less dollars in my pocket that paid a man to almost damage my entire system. I am sure that he may be proficient in certain PC repairs, but clearly he was not in my case. From my experience, I believe some should be cautious when considering his services. I am not looking to tell people not to enlist his services. I am just stating how I my experience went having hired him.
