The Deck Shop opened its doors under the new name just three years ago. However, Don has over thirty total years experience with decks, through out those years Don has been building a reputation for quality work with each satisfied customer. We have become a specialist in low-maintenance synthetic decks of all designs. As the times have changed, and weve grown, we've been careful not to compromise our commitment to quality. Our sense of pride is apparent in every addition or remodel project we complete.

It took a while to get the job started with all the proper paperwork that the town requires but once that was done, Don got the job done fast and we are very pleased with the result.

The work got done quickly. That could be good in some respects, but not when the quality of work suffers. The nailing pattern in highly visible areas was placed in a wavy manner. If one hires Don, one should provide highly detailed drawings and specifications, so that one will get what they want not what Don decides! I spoke with Don as I did with all the other contractors interviewed, about having balusters with top and bottom rails. Don attached the balusters to the deck, requiring less work on his part, making the project go faster! The top plate above the top rail was not mitered at 45 deg. where the deck forms a right angle with the other plate. Don seems to have lost sight of the reason why people hire him. His need to finish the job quickly and go on to the next one is his guiding principal, instead of focusing on and doing what the costumer wants!

Don was great! He was offered suggestions on deck size and stair placement and was very patient when I changed my mind about the shape of the deck (and then changed it back!), came when he said he would and had the pool deck finished when he said it would be. The building inspector also complimented his work when he came to inspect it.

It was such a pleasure to have Don & his crew work on our pool deck. Not only is it spectacular, we were so very pleased with the professionalism and courtesy always shown to us. Don was always in communication with us about the status of the plans, the permits, building material arrival & delays�the whole nine yards. He & his crew showed up on time, worked hard & late to get our job done. I have to mention that Don was the one who came up with the plans for the deck. We had to change the original location of our pool because of town code restrictions & ended up putting it at the base of a hill, just off our outdoor patio. We had a hard time envisioning a deck for the pool & Don came up with a beautiful deign to marry to the paved patio & pool deck together. We couldn�t be more pleased & hope to work with him again when we decide to upgrade our deck off the family room.

The Deck Shop worked well with me as far as going over everything I wanted done and explanning all my options. They said it would take 2-3 days to complete the new deck and they were completely done in 3 days. Very nice to work with and I'm very happy with the results. I also was happy that they took care of getting the permit for the job. All I did was tell them what I wanted done and they did the rest. Great job Deck Shop............Timothy

it took a few phone calls to get started but once we were rolling the deck was up in no time. Don was prompt and professional. he left everything spotless when he was done. I highly recommend him.

Don and Bob did a great job for a reasonable price. They were professional, prompt, and even worked when it snowed. They brought their own tools and generator for power, regraded our backyard with their monster dirt mover and constructed a beautiful deck and spa platform in about a week. We did not use the most expensive materials but our new deck looks great. They had good suggestions and helped us make the right choices when planning the project. Highly recommended.

THE MOST PROFESSIONAL,COMPANY I HAVE EVER HIRED. THEY WERE HERE ON TIME,CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES,WERE VERY CAREFULL OF MY PLANTS, AND HOME. IF I COULD GIVE THEM A HIGHER RAITING THAN 5, I WOULD. THE DECK SHOP WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP ME WITH MY PAPERWORK. AND EVEN HELPED ME GET AROUND. PLEASE DISREGUARD MY PREVIOUS RATEING, AS I DID NOT HAVE MY GLASSES ON, AND FILLED IN THE WRONG STAR.

TRIED THE REST? NOW TRY THE BEST. I GIVE THE DECK SHOP, MY 10 START RATING. THEY WERE ON TIME, CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. AND THEY COMMUNICATED WELL. These guys are outstanding and they are not finished with our job yet but what they have done so far has been great. Update... Couldn't be happier with the results and it was a difficult job but Don and his guys took it on and it paid off. Great Contractor.

Ron (The Deck Shop) had our 40x12' deck up and finished in less than a week! Although the project was a challenge(underground water pipes) he made it all go really well. I would highly recommend him to anyone planning on adding a deck to their home.
