We looked at dozens of houses to find one that had everything that we wanted to become our home. When it was time for the home inspection I had heard good things from a friend that used Diamond Group Home Inspections. I was there when Don and his crew thoroughly inspected every aspect of our new home to be. Their report was incredibly detailed providing more information than I could imagine. I felt like I had a complete history of the house, appliances, hot water heater, heating and cooling systems. We were able to negotiate an extra $10,000 off our already agreed upon price. I can't thank their team enough!

The Diamond Group is, in my experience, the best inspection company you can hire. I had a bad experience twice with other inspection companies. They left me thinking that all inspection companies just showed up did their inspection and left. not really caring about how this inspection could affect one of the biggest financial decisions of your life. With Diamond, a small team shows up to the house and immediately I was educated on all testing that will be performed, what those test mean, and how the results will be handled. Every step of the way I was walked through the process and explained in detail any issues that came up. They were very thorough with the inspection and their high level of customer service could not have been better. I highly recommend them.

Don was a very good inspector. He was very thorough and did not rush. He was there for roughly 3 hours. He made a very detailed report and took many pictures. He even went as far as to explain how to fix certain things for future reference. They fit me in for an inspection in a very timely manner and were very accommodating. I would definitely use this company again and I would ask for Don as I said he was very good.

Don was awesome! I know a thing or two about looking for problems in houses, and boy am I still glad I had Don along. He caught several issues I would have missed myself. Easy example: Don told me to check a specific wall on the basement during final walkthrough. For our inspection, it was covered up by a lot boxes and storage clutter from the current owners. We couldn't access it at the time. Don said just check it out later because sometimes that clutter is put there for a reason. On final walkthrough, there was a lot less clutter, but some foamboard was still piled up against that wall. I remembered what Don said and moved it to another wall. Lo and behold, there's a giant patch in the foundation hiding behind it. It turned out not to be a huge deal, but Don called it nonetheless. I'd have missed that if it weren't for him. Thanks Don!

Very profesional

Amazing! Our family has used them twice now in our exhaustive search for a home. Diamond moved mountains to get us an inspection when we needed one very last minute. I scheduled my very first home inspection from the Penny approved list :) Unfortunately, I found myself in a bit of a jam as the home inspector canceled at the last minute, and I needed to find a replacement willing to travel to Westmoreland County in one day's notice. After calling every approved vendor on my list, I was desperate! One day's notice is not a lot of time, and I basically was hoping for a miracle, and not extend my timeline. It was 1:00 AM and I began googling home inspectors. I came across a company called HomeAdvisor. I filled out their online form, identifying myself as a Coldwell Banker agent, submitted my info, and crossed my fingers. The next morning at 8:00 AM sharp I received a call from one of the owners, Sharon St Clair! Because I am a Realtor she called to probe about my situation. Sharon explained her affiliation with Coldwell and let me know they are on the Penny Approved list! (whew) Sharon quickly assessed my client needs and set me up with one of the their local companies, The Diamond Group Home Inspections Inc. She also switched inspectors on the schedule so that my client, a first time home buyer, would receive the benefit of having Don Mineheart perform the inspection. Don is very patient and a wonderful teacher to first time home buyers. He took such care with my client explaining in great detail what he was looking at, why it mattered, and how it fit in to the overall home buying picture to a first time home buyer. I was so impressed with Don and his professionalism, care, concern, and true love for his work. My client was equally impressed, but also gained so much insight and understanding about the home she was about to purchase. Sharon called me the day of the inspection to make sure I was comfortable with the schedule. She also called me the day after to ensure the inspection went off without a hitch. As a new agent who was a bit rattled from the prior company cancelling, the calls were so reassuring. I received all reports exactly at the time Sharon and Don said I would. Sharon then called me again to ask if I had any questions or concerns on what I was reading in the reports. Such professionalism and care like this I have not seen in quite some time! What started out as a cancelled home inspection and potential contract disruption, turned into the very best experience for my client and me. Don was very knowledgeable and thorough in explaining everything as I am a first time home buyer. Was able to show clear evidence to the seller of work needing done and had no problem asking them to mitigate the issues as part of the deal.

From the very first call to set up services until far beyond the purchase of our home, they were nothing but professional, informative, and unbelievably thorough. Don, the inspector, was very thorough, knowledgeable, and excellent at explaining everything and answering our questions, as well as being very professional and friendly! My husband and I were first time home buyers we were so confused. I contacted the Diamond Group they were exceptional! Not only were they the most reasonably priced but the inspector was so patient and explained everything I had questions about. i highly suggestion to anyone needing a home inspection to ONLY use this company . I had an incredible experience. I am a first time home buyer and was nervous about the inspection process. I researched many different companies available to choose from in my area. The home inspector went above and beyond taking his time to explain everything. The owner followed up to ensure things went well and also took time explaining so much. The warranties they give is also incredible. A big thank you to Sharon and don.

My husband and I hired The Diamond Group for our home inspection and it was the best decision we made!! I spoke to a few people in their office prior to the home inspection and they were friendly and very informative. Don, our inspector, was early for the appointment and when I got there, he already had equipment out and was taking pictures of our roof. He introduced himself and gave me a gift box (shaped like a house! How cute!) with a couple bottles of water, a tape measure and a pen and note pad so that we could take notes along the way. Don went above and beyond and thoroughly reviewed each and every issue with us during the inspection. He suggested a number of preventative maintenance tips and made sure to point out the major issues. Don was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions with a detailed explanation. We received our report the next day and it was very well done. The major issues were all listed at the beginning of the report and details were provided throughout the report on everything we discussed. They even provide recall reports for all the major appliances in your home! The Diamond Group also provides a year membership to Home Owners Network. I just logged on and was pleasantly surprised by the pages and pages of discounts including Lowe������s and Ace Hardware!! The site has an ������Ask the expert������ section and provides information a number of pre-screened contractors. Sorry for the long review, but I honestly can������t say enough great things about The Diamond Group Home Inspectors.

The only thing is that I would liked to have a couple of pictures of my audit to show friends and family. I think most people would be quite surprised by the amount of energy loss in their own homes.

Got almost immediate reponse to our inquiry. His office followed up before we called back to schedule an appointment He was on time and showed us what he was doing. He had suggestions for immediate improvements. Showed us why our house is so cold. We should have his written report today.
