She was very personable and seemed quite Competent.

I asked the vendor to do some light outside painting and to repair a door that had been damaged. I honestly felt the vendor did not go the extra mile, even when it became apparent that she had only taken half the time she had committed to in our agreement. She painted over the repair but she should have painted the door when she saw that her original job was not going to look good. She chalked it up to my having a cheap door. I liked her a lot which is why I was surprised when she would not go the extra mile.

I wish there was a 10 star rating! Great work ethic and the job was done perfectly. She replaced rotten door trim and when she was done, it looked better than before it rotted. The job was done quickly, professionally and priced very fairly. An honest handyman and will be my first choice to call in the future. I'm already making a list.

Donna did a Great job at a fair price. Hired to hang some heavy and large mirrors in two different rooms. Arrived on time, worked quickly and did a great job.

Fix It Chic is Great! Donna is the first person I call whenever I have any type of Handyman (handywoman?) project that needs doing around my home or office. She always responds quickly to my calls and comes quickly if I have an emergency. Her prices are very reasonable and she'll even offer less pricey fixes when appropriate. She also will let me know if a project is bigger than she is comfortable taking on. I would strongly recommend Fix It Chic for any project you may have.

I hired Donna, owner of the Fix it Chick for many home projects, They were all accomplished but not cheap, until she said that the installation of a sump pump (plumbing, electrical,concrete) in my patio that flooded. As it turned out, the pump, the electricity, the concrete, did not solve the problem at all ( have ample documentation such as videos, photos all time stamped). After asking the owner on many occasions of the problem, she was not sure of what to do. Finally, with this week s storms, my house flooded (patio, and closed porch, almost to living room. Notified Fix it Chick, stated that I was going to call licensed plumbing company to attempt to tell me how to fix the problem. Asked her to be present at the appointment and was informed she had many jobs. In conclusion, I had to pay plumbing company for new pump, called electrician to make sure that previous connection was correct, he verified it was not, and to repair the electrical installation, the poured concrete deck would have to be cut and opened to run new electrical pipes. Asked the Fix It Chick to cover the expenses, since she had been paid in full before, could not fix the problem, and she did not even show up. I was verbally threatened by her female partner, Betty, over the phone, and insulted. The truth of the matter is that the expertise shown by this contractor is limited and while she will accept doing any type of work, she and her partner do not have the knowledge to do more difficult jobs. I will be filing a legal action against this contractor in order to recoup my money and also, be able to complete the work that she was already paid for. I am not sure if Home Advisor truly has checked for any license and insurance for this vendor, but I relied on their website to hire them. Shame on the Fix It Chick.
