The Grand Design Home Renovations

They did not do my roof, but this review would not go on without me selecting that option. Shawn Stop deleting honest posts that are not favorable. A picture paints a thousand words and paints a good picture of the "quality" job you are going to get. They took my niceness as weakness. The black plastic bag was found SHOOVED INSIDE THE STOVE VENT when they wrapped the house. They wrapped right over the opening! What an idiot! Unscrupulous. Never ever do a job by the hour, if you do any at all. Maybe if they stop smoking so much pot they could get a job done and do it right.

He is very good and knowledgeable at what he does

We had a roof emergency in the middle of winter. After checking Angie's list, Shawn was one of a dozen roofers that contacted us. He was the first to give an estimate, and his estimate was by far and away the best. The work was done in very bad weather conditions, but the endured and the finished metal roof is beautiful. I was so impressed with Shawn and his work ethic that I hired him for some other work immediately afterward. Small business - excellent work - excellent prices. I couldn't be more satisfied.

My wife and I wanted a metal roof for our new house. We knew from inspection a new roof would be required almost immediately following purchase. We spoke with four other roofing companies receiving quotes for metal roofs 2x-3x an asphalt shingle roof we had quote as a backup plan. While we expected a premium over shingles for metal roofing, these numbers were not financially feasible for us. Shawn reached out when we were close to settling and wanted to drive down to Columbus to get eyes on the roof. He was the only estimator we had that actually got on the roof to take measurements and got in our attic to view an underside area that was noted as previously leaking on the RPD report to make sure it wasn't actively still leaking. His metal roof quote was a reasonable and respectable premium over our shingling quote. Work started within a week of signing and was completed roughly three weeks later. Weather delayed things a couple days, otherwise it would have likely been completed even sooner. It was Shawn and a co-worker Joey assisting most days, but when the co-worker wasn't available or became sick Shawn was out on his own making progress. Towards the end we had some leftover material he installed on our shed to tie it together. There wasn't any steps along the way Shawn didn't fully explain or questions he couldn't answer. He is completed obsessed with making sure the owner is happy with the work and will make additional efforts to correct things that the owner is not please with. There was a small section Shawn explained could be installed one of two ways; he installed it one way and after looking at it my wife and I decided the other way he described would be better for us. Shawn had no issue going back up to switch it. This is all said to give an idea of the quality of workmanship, value, and service Shawn provides. We have a rental house that we will certainly reach out to Shawn for an estimate on in the future.

Shawn provides quality workmanship, is respectful and trustworthy along with aiming to please. He looks out for your best interest. We recommend him. building needs.
