I was very unhappy with the service~ The owner of the company seemed very friendly. He sent out a worker to redo the grout/caulk of my shower. I was told he would be here most of the day~ He was in and out in 2 hours. There was big holes with the caulk and grout were it had not been filled in all the way... and they didn't do around the shower door frame. I called them back and the owner himself came out. I was told it should last a long time. Within a few weeks the caulk was peeling away from the shower floor pan. I didn't bother calling them back again to fix~ Very disappointed.

"As far as timing I never know how long something is really going to take. I can only just take a guess. As far as the caulk failing, I do give a one year warranty because sometimes the defect could be on the manufacturer and not our end. As far as not doing around the shower door he might have told you that we could put scratches in there if we do it and you might have told him don't do it then because anytime you put metal blade on a metal door you can scratch it. But if this is a job that we did in less than a year you still do have a warranty and you can call and get it touched up for free. I always tell everybody that if you're happy great."

"the review almost doesn't make any sense. If we did something that you were unhappy about but then you had us re do it the way that you wanted it done . you even said that we redid it the right way. then I would assume you'd be happy. my partner does all the work and anybody would tell you that he doesn't huff and puff even with homeowners that are difficult he keeps his composure. by reading the review it almost sounds like we deserve more stars if you pointed out something that you were unhappy with and we did it the way that you wanted it done in the end then that's a good thing right?"

"we don't do the jobs for an hourly rate. I always come and take a look at the job and I give you a free estimate. at that time I give you a price. sometimes the job takes us longer to do and sometimes they don't take as long. but he had a written estimate. I charged him the price that I told him it was going to cost. he did not pay any more than the estimate said. and at the end of the job he tried negotiating with me. we did everything that we promised. there was nothing wrong with the job. but he felt that he deserved the discount because it didn't take as long as I thought it would probably take even though we had the price IN WRITING he k"

My shower looks beautiful! My bathroom was remodeled professionally and the grout starting cracking within 3 years. After the job was done by the Grout Man, it looked nicer compared to the job by the remodeling company. He was friendly, had a good work ethic and was detail oriented. Jack was very polite and took his time working with me, even though my project was small (grouting the seams of the shower). After the first application, I still saw some leakage, and found the source. He came out and sealed those areas for no extra charge. After vigorous testing, the leaks have been completely sealed. I asked him about two other projects, and he was honest about the work, suggesting that we would need to retile those rooms. He recommended another contact for that work. A less honest person would have done the job anyway, knowing it wouldn't last. I highly recommend Jack the Grout Man and his associates!

He charged $1200 for grouting around a bathtub in one bathroom. In the second bath, he cauked around a shower and fixed 2 rows of tiles in one wall and put a cement board in it. Caulikg of the shower and bathtub was $400 ($200 each), cement board was $200 and putting the tiles back was another $200. He charged $400 for urgent service because I called him the day prior. This is in a townhouse and the bath sizes are SMALL. It took him less that 3:30 hours to do the job. He had told me that it would take him all day. The bathrooms were cleaned by a professional service the day prior so no clean up of damaged grout or caulk that he needed to work on

"We NEVER do emergency work. This lady made me feel really bad because she had a kid with MS im another state that she had to get back to. I told her that I would lose a lot of business to take this on I would have to charge her a lot of money. I gave a written estimate. She was more than happy with the price until I was finished with the job. I did not charge her a dime more than the written estimate.the job was left clean. But who hires a cleaning service right before a company has to rip out a piece of your wall. the cleaning service comes AFTER the dirty job.The job really took 6 hrs not 3.5. this is what I get for doing a favor."

We have very complex tiling so this work was more complicated than a typical repair. He had to remove multiple layers and do it, slowly. It still didn't look quite right so on his own he ripped the new partial grout out and did a slightly different shade. Spent the time and effort to do a hard job right. And all this for a very reasonable cost. Strong recommend.

If you are agonizing over what to do with your bathroom tiles but don't know who to call or who to trust to do the job right, trust the Grout Man. He answered my numerous questions politely and professionally and assured me I would be pleased with the results. His technician was as polite and professional as he was and did a fantastic job. Knowing I was concerned because I had negative experiences with contractors in the past, he took the time to show me the work in progress, offer tips on how to address problem areas and just as he and the Grout man promised the finished job was great.

The estimate and the work was done at the time promised. The price was fair although the caulking wasn't the best I've ever seen.
