I contacted S&L about possible service. Steve responded very quickly, the quote sounded good and service scheduled. They were fast and friendly, didn't try a hard upsell. Would definitely recommend.

Steve did an absolutely fantastic job retiling my bathroom floor. From start to finish, his professionalism, attention to detail, and craftsmanship really stood out. He showed up on time, kept everything clean, and clearly takes pride in his work. It’s not easy to find someone who cares this much about quality, but Steve definitely does. I’d recommend him to anyone looking for tile work done right the first time.

Grout Medic left a mess both in the shower and, even though doors were closed in the work area, dust-covered every upstairs surface. When I called to complain the managers mailbox was full and I received a return call. The workmanship was sloppy and management was unresponsive.

They did an outstanding job and the floors look brand new again.

Following the 24-48 hr dry time for the grout, and as I was wiping the haze left behind by the work performed, I observed crooked grout lines in areas throughout and crooked lines on silicone caulking where applied. Our phone calls have not been returned. Moreover, the color of the new grout/sealant do(es) not match the original grout areas, creating a mismatch in color in the shower, which again I was able to observe only following the dry time, making the job performance even more unacceptable. Really unprofessional, not to have brought this up to a customer prior to the work. Our phone calls to the number listed on business card and Proposal for this Grout Medic location go to the Grout Medic Franchise National Call Center, which is making the process of seeking a conversation with the owner even more cumbersome, and unacceptably frustrating. The owner of this franchise (St Augustine-Jacksonville FL) is Steve, and he had come out to price the job-- and yet Steve has not returned our calls. In sum, this is an outrageously poor experience that led us to contact Grout Medic national franchise company-- at least to help us receive a return call so that we may begin to discuss plans to fix the issues.

The job was to clean and seal the grout with a color sealant to make all the grout uniform in color. The area included my kitchen, entrance, a hallway and two bathrooms. The work was performed by a part time ** helper ** not qualified to complete the job. He didnt clean and buff the tile after applying the color sealant. Consequently I was left with color sealant on much of tile. I called and emailed the franchise owner, Steve, six days later he sent someone to clean the tile. This person scraped the tile with a razor blade stopped because he didnt want to scratch the tile. He did buff the floor but that was really too little to late. He told me he would report back to Steve and ask him what could be done to remove the color sealant from the tile. I never heard back from Steve and after emailing him several times, I gave up. The only phone number I had was to a call center, not Grout Medic of Jacksonville.

I had them come in to clean the floor tile. Their proposal for the multi room combo was to:clean all grout and tile surface connected to foyer main area and both bathroom floors. Apply grout medic color sealant to all grout to bring back to one uniform colo. Note this was the order or work to be done. My total house size is 1500 sq. ft. So figure a regular living room area with small foyer and the two bathroom size. When the two employee came, they offer me the ALABASER sealant. I accepted. I then notice one of employees putting the sealant on the tile before cleaning the grout. I asked him why. He indicted the machine that did the cleaning was not working. Nothing was mentioned to me the grout did not need cleaning. The proposal as mentioned was as proposed. After the sealant was put in, it did not occurred to me they put sealant on top of dirty grout until after this job was done. I called about this and the next day the two employees came. I mentioned the grout was not clean. I was informed by the other employee the grout did not need cleaning and only the sealant was needed. THIS WAS NOT IN THE PROPOSAL. They then commence to used the machine to clean the grout. This machine supposedly had an acid wash and I guess dirt remover. HOWEVER, my point by this time is the sealant was already settled in after 24 hours, and the dirt underneath was still there. This machine did not strip the sealer. The machine to my estimation now cleaned the sealant only and the grout underneath continued to remain dirty. The two bathrooms was: to be for removal of existing grout and caulk of tub and from window wall, acid clean and vapor jet steam all walls to clean soap scum". Now bear in mind, this company will show a before and after picture of the worst tiles imaginable. My tile was no where near this mess. The acid clean / high degree vaper jet did not do the job. I continued to see soap built up or hard water spots. The tile grout and caulk were uneven at best, no uniformity. Anyway, again Steve came in and gave a Luke warm response. I did received $100.00 back from each bathroom. The bottom line, this job was not done as is and as specification on the proposal and I will use their video as an add on. The money I paid was way too much for what it was worth. $1200.00. I only decided to use the service because one day I cleaned the floor grout myself with a brush and it took part of my day. I was not knowledgeable enough to think about putting sealant. Since I was led to believe of such magical work from GROUTMEDIC from before and after pix, I decided to use GROUTMEDIC service. Next time, I will do it myself and save me $1200.00. Just watch for these franchised companies. Get other proposals; think about the hourly rate to help you see the total worth of a project. I mean $1200.00 for about 5-6 hours of work (not including these employees coming back the next day to attempt to fix), well you get the math. When something is not right and your gut tells you so, dont wait for action.

Unable to reach service professional who never completed the project. Even offered an extra fifty dollars to the tech who did it.

An estimator arrived timely, assessed the job, and provided a price, which we accepted. An appointment was made. The service person arrived an hour and 15 minutes late, with no communication that would be the case. The job was performed shoddily, leaving residual grout all over the surfaces. We were told, no shower for 24 hours. We waited 36 hours, only to find the grout had holes and dissolved. Bad experience, bad training. I would not use these people.

This was the worst company I have ever worked with. Left my floors worse than before their work, chemicals left stains even after they returned to remove them. The owner would not contact me nor offer any refund. $1000 to have my floors ruined... what a deal.
