Kevin and his crew were very professional and had very fair pricing on cleaning up our backyard and laying down some new sod. I would recommend them and also use them in the future for other landscaping.

Mr. Lumley & his crew were on time and did a wonderful job. The tasks included pruning a 16 year old Pine Tree, Two Crape Myrtle Trees, one Laurel bush, and removing four other plants. The debris was cleaned up and hauled away. The price was very reasonable for the work performed.

Kevin and his crew just finished a job for us, which included tree stump removal, tearing out old lawn, preparing the ground and installing new sod, planting new plants, tree trimming, and installation of new bark . They were on time and worked diligently. Very easy to communicate with. We would recommend the "Hawaiian Gardener" You bet!

Kevin removed two trees and his work was outstanding. He was on time and went right to work. Clean up was like he had never been at the house. If you need tree work, give him a call.

I had 3 mature Birch trees that died during the drought, and two other trees that were dead on the very top with some of the tips of some branches dead in spotty places throughout the trees. I called Kevin and told him I wanted the Birch trees taken down and the other two trees trimmed just to cut off the dead tips. I wanted to keep the stumps of the Birch trees to make a planter box and I wanted to keep the wood for firewood so there was no clean up he had to deal with. I couldn't be here when he came to look at the job but left instructions of what I wanted with the person who was here for me. Kevin quoted $600. I had other quotes that were a little cheaper but Hawaiian had a good rating so I went with them. There was a misunderstanding about topping the other two trees. He thought I only wanted one of them done. I could have argued the point (why would I do one and not the other?) but I wasn't there (for the quote) to tell him what needed to be done. Someone else was. And there would have been added cost to trim the second tree. Kevin brought 2 other guys to help him do the job. It was 99 degrees that day so I put out a cooler full of bottled water covered with ice. I didn't want anyone to get heat stroke... Kevin and his helpers did a great job taking down the 3 Birch trees. One large branch hit the sliding glass doors of my bedroom which reverberated through the house. I went out to see what happened. It didn't break the glass. He wrote on my work order that he may have damaged the glass doors. We won't really know if the seal on the double pane is broken until it rains. He told me if there was a problem to let him know because they have a glass company they work with. Oh yea...my tomato plants took a beating because they were sitting in front of the glass door. :( As it turned out I was glad they only topped one of the trees. Instead of cutting only the dead tips, they took off every branch that had a dead tip and they didn't cut it off...they ripped them off. So they were ripping (not cutting) entire branches off of the tree because of a little dead tip on the end of it. I really didn't like that. I reminded them twice to please not cut it if it wasn't dead but to deaf ears. They did it their way... I lost a lot more branches than I expected because of that. It took away a lot of the shade in my back yard and I can only hope it didn't damage the tree more than leaving the dead branches on would have. All said and done, they did what they were paid to do. They were polite and friendly and they showed up on time. They finished the job in about 4 1/2 hours and never took a break in spite of the scorching heat. I would recommend Hawaiian Gardener to anyone who isn't trimming trees!

I appreciated the fair price compared to other companies but had a lot of cleanup to do myself including street cleanup.

Showed up, worked diligently until work was finished. Cleaned the area up nicely, and were very informative in responding to my questions regarding tree health.

Responded quickly in rainy weather. They removed a huge limb from an oak tree that was badly split, close to breaking and falling onto my fence and shrubs. It was a dangerous, wet job and they did great work.

called me within 2 hrs of request for info AND because I had a small job and they were close by they came before day was over and completed the job for $50 LESS then other contractors!!!

Kevin, was the gentleman that came to my home. As busy as I am with a husband who just had a stroke...I will MAKE the time to write that Kevin was unbelievable. He was knowledgeable, professional explained everything so I can understand. I am overwhelmed (which is quite a feat for me) at how wonderful he was. Ty so much!!!

I highly recommend Kevin and his team. They were professional, on time, did quality work and cleaned up the yard, sidewalk and even wiped off the dust on my car that was in the driveway. I had also received several estimates and his was the most reasonable and he also appeared to be the most knowledgeable.

We had a sprinkler problem. Kevin arrived and had the problem fixed in a short period of time. We have many other "yard projects" that I discussed with him and we will definitely be hiring The Hawaiian Gardener in the future.
