Beware! Extremely poor quality of work that is now demolished and started over. Check the BBB complaint - fraud, negligence and misrepresentation. Ryan Hoy was booked in Cherokee County jail for a 2nd degree criminal property damage. Operating without a license. Casino charges from construction funds. Now involved in a law suit.

Completed three projects for me. The first project was done well and at a fair price. The second project was done well and at a fair price. The third project was a disaster. They promised to return and correct the errors made on this project, which were significant. They never came back. I had the whole thing torn out and hired someone to come in and do it right.

*BUYER BEWARE* I do not ever leave negative reviews, but I do not want anyone to have to go through what we went through. We hired Ryan Hoy, Operating as The Home Zone, Inc. For over $10,000 worth of home repairs and remodeling. He remodeled our shower and we have had nothing but trouble. His work is terrible and he will not do anything to help remedy the problem! The shower tile is literally falling apart and we have water damage underneath all the tile! He would take days or weeks to respond and will not stand behind his work. Tile is literally falling off! Stay away! Do not hire this company.

The Home Zone did many beautiful updates for my home: Installed kitchen tile backsplash - also put up shiplap on two walls - built a nice privacy fence around my propane tank - built and put up a distressed farmhouse type frame around my large master bath mirror. Everything is perfect - love it all. The Home Zone was professional, on time, knowledgeable and great attention to detail. Completed the projects in a timely manner and also made sure any messes were completely cleaned up. Highly recommend.

We hired Ryan and Home Zone which was formerly Hoy Construction to do a Basement build out/remodel. Initially the project started well, Framing and electrical then it went horribly bad. After about 1 month of regular work, Ryan would fail to show up. When he did show up it would be for half a work day at most. This began to really push the job behind. What is worse is the fact that I had to hire a new contractor to reinstall the hardwood flooring in the basement because the job Ryan did is so poor the flooring buckled and became unusable. This obviously required me to buy all new flooring. I then had to have a drywall contractor come in and repair the drywall job Ryan did because the ceiling started to sag. This alone cost me an additional $10K because Ryan, HomeZone, Hoy construction are very illegitimate. Lastly, the punch list work needs to be done, which Ryan kept saying he would do. After several weeks of calls with no answer and no return, Ryan took the 3000 dollars I paid him for this portion of the work and obviously never completed any of it. This company will promise big things and then take advantage of you and yes take money for work not completed which is stealing. My recommendation if you use them is to pay by Credit Card so when they do fail to show or complete work you have a mechanism to get your money back.

After a positive start our project issues started. Extremely poor quality of work on painting. We discovered many shortcuts taken.

I hired Ryan to construct a bathroom, for the most part he did a good job, but there was a problem with the floor and Ryan said he would come back to replace the floor, that was in February, that was the last I heard from him,

He is good if you can get him to stay and finish.

Beautiful workmanship at very fair pricing. Had them do 4 different projects and will definitely hire them for further projects!

Ryan kept me informed of his eta and the projected cost of the project.

From start to finish it was a great experience, and I'm currently planning my next projects with them as well.
