Kitchen Remodel
We had a FANTASTIC experience, one which changed our dreary 1950 home into a contemporary kitchen! Although this review is more than 5 years after the job was completed, we are still getting compliments about the transformation! Assuming the company and workers are of the same caliber 5 years ago, I would absolutely hired them again!

I had painted cabinet doors put on and refaced the rest. The paint has yellowed and chipped and there were a couple of minor problems that never got fixed

Worse company I have ever worked with. They rescheduled several time; material wasn't ordered; they disconnected my phone calls 3 times. They are very unorganized in their scheduling of jobs and workers. They took over a week to get to the laminate for the reface and won't finish for another several days. My kitchen has been torn up for over a week. They are aggressive in getting the job but not in following through. Before they took the original doors off, I said let's cancel but they refused to return my deposit, so I was against the wall and have felt put upon and cheated. I would never recommend this company to anyone ever.

Work done in a timely and efficient manor. Had one small problem with the countertop having sealed the dishwasher closed, but the lead carpernter came back and adjusted the legs on the dishwasher and the coutertop was left in tact. They provided a great tile guy too. I just had to buy the tile and kitchen fuacet and they provided installation, so the job was much more than just the refacing I had contacted you about. Several new pull out drawers in the cabinet uner the stve top where I store pots abd in the pantry are especially handy to have for easy access. I'm very happy with the results.

Lots of different contractors, poor communications between all levels. Making calls almost all the time trying to get things right. I was very fustrated with this company.

When they did the job they were very fast and professional, and if that had been it I would have given them five stars. But I had problems with the varnish wrinkling on 7 cabinet doors. It looked like water damage. But since I only cook a few times a week this should not have happened. And, after all, it is a kitchen. Anyway, the bigger issue was that I could not get anyone to come out to repair it. I called every few weeks, then a few months, then I got so mad at being ignored I threatened them with proceeding my legal options. That got me a return phone and my repair, but it was just so frustrating. I would not recommend them..

Poor Customer Service and Slow turnaround time. Kept calling them over and over. They Finally finished. I found some defects in the craftsman ship and will have to call them back out to make adjustments to the job.

We decided to re-face most of our kitchen cabinets, and replaced one entirely. The company requested us to move up the job date and we agreed they could start the next Wednesday, but no one showed up, and they did not call to let us know. They did start the following day. We were excited to have a pull out blind-corner unit, but when they came to install it, it turned out it wouldn't fit in space. Very disappointing. We were a little unhappy with the quality of the finished product. The company did send someone to correct the worst of the problems, but wasn't perfect, as I felt it should have been.

Overall, they did a pretty good job. The project took longer than they'd promised, and it was very difficult getting info on new completion dates, but overall I'm happy with the results.

Each trade that visited our kitchen for our countertop job (draftsman, countertop subcontractor, plumber, tile, etc.) did a good job. But the project management was bad. The company kept telling me that the price of the tiles in the backspalsh was not included, even though it was in the contract. Several unnecessary calls were needed to resolve it. They did not send the garbage disposal unit with the plumber and wasted my time -- I had to wait while he went to a store to buy it. The salesperson had promised to send trim molding to hide damage to the cabinet below the countertop, but never did.

What sold me on The Kitchen Connection was their salesperson. I've spoken to six or seven professionals and Kitchen Connection was the only person who listened to me and offered me a proposal on what I wanted. Everyone else was trying to sell me on things I didn't want, on more expensive products than I had designed. I felt satisfied with the agreement with Kitchen Connection. Took approx 12 working days 10/27/07 Cabinets are beautiful. I am very happy with the workmanship. Am waiting for the countertop and backslash.

I just had my kitchen remodel, refaced cabinets, new counter top, etc. The whole experience turned out great. No complaints at all. They did the job in 5 days. The guys were great. I would use them again if I had to. I love my new kitchen.

The sales rep and the installation guys were great. I had difficulty with the main office/manufacturing end of it. The product quality is good, but customer service was lacking.

Let me just say that I'm happy with the outcome, the counter tops look great. I wasn't happy with the experience. First of all, we had to go a week without a counter and sink. Then the draftsman didn't measure right, so we didn't have a portion of the back splash or windowsill for an additional weekend. When they came to install, they cut some of the counter right there in the kitchen, didn't go outside to do it!!! The smell and the dust was AWFUL! There was fine white powder on everything in the house! They didn't take any measure to clean it up! I was gone out of the house because of being pregnant and didn't want to breathe it in.

My recommendation would be with reservations and several caveats. Each worker was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and did a good job. However, there were several items that needed changing because they did not work as I expected. The installer actually brought one or two of the items to my attention. No one at the office would speak with me and I got NO reaction until I sent a registered letter threatening legal action. The installation was completed to my satisfaction, but I did not think I should nave needed to threaten first.

The installation crews did not put up adequate protection, didn't arrive on time or complete the work when they said that they would. They installed the wrong drawer front style, wrong hardware, left nails protruding into the cabinets (they came back out after we complained and removed them) and didn't do a good of cleaning up.

I was very impressed with the presentation of the materials and the ideas from the representative John Gonvales (I hope I have spellled this correctly I don't have his card with me I also believe he is one of the owners of the company so we felt special that he was sent to help us.) he was extremely through and detailed he had all the materials you could choose from with him and it made it easy to make decisions and his advice was invaluable to us. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering a kitchen remodel. I can't wait to see the finished kitchen I have no doubt that they will do an amazing job
