The MZO Architectural Group

The Architect I used was Andrew Zalewski. Old fashion Honesty and Trust. If I were to spend 200,00 ( any amount ) that is what is most important. He has been in business many years and knows how to do it your way. He knows who and how to speak to the right people and takes action to get things done right. He did an excellent job for me.

Working with MZO and John has been a pleasure. We spoke to a lot of Architects before hiring John for a rebuilding project due to a fire. He was professional, informative, and had great follow up. His price was fair and in line with others we had gotten. We would work with MZO again and would certainly recommend him to others! Thanks for all the great work! We can't wait to see the house completed based on your drawings!

Although we are still in the design stage, so far we have been very pleased with the MZO group. During the decision process, which was a difficult one with many questions, emails and pauses, John maintained his proffessionalism, creativity and interest in our project. So far we feel like it's been the right fit.

I have met with John Cronin once for a preliminary review of the job. He was professional and appeared to understand what I want. He will send me a rough outline of the plans and fees etc this week and we will take it from here. If desired, I will give a more in depth rating once the work progresses. It was, however, prohibitively expensive to get plans to add a room to the back of my house which includes only three walls on a foundation already in place. I had also asked for plans for the kitchen and an enclosure for the pool(all attached to the family room). I am perhaps naive, but I do not feel that I need $4000 - $5000 worth of plans. That works out to about 10% of my budget. I asked for a working diagram that contractors could use to do the construction without having to re-draw the plans each time another contractor was asked to bid on the job. I intend to contact the architect and revise down his job so that I can have a drawing of my requirements to hire the contractors. If this works I will engage MZO, if not I will make other arrangements.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of this architect and impressed by the strong recommendations I received from his references. We have not formally contracted yet so I can not fully rate at this time.
