Did a great job! Very professional.

They bid the job fairly. They were on time. They did a reasonable job of sanding, filling and finishing most of the floors. However, when it came to installing the floor on a concrete slab and managing their workspace, they failed miserably. They ground the concrete slab without considering the dust migration. They did not seal off the work space and dust covered everything throughout the house. It took days to clean and they denied any responsibility, though another painter onsite witnessed the migrating dust and felt the need to put on a mask. They left big voids under the floor. They legally cover their behinds on such matters.

They were prompt and very polite. The work progressed fine until after the final coat of Swedish finish when we discovered many defects in the finish. The "boss" came out and did the re-do himself and discovered some of the reasons for the initial problems. However, this did require an additional night spent in a motel by us. Even after that, we found several additional defects in the finish, though not as many as the first time. A workman came out an additional two times and worked on it until it was acceptable.
