Hugh Harrison Concrete Contracting

Hired to install a terra cotta colored concrete patio. What I received is a multi colored mess. They poured over a puddle so now I have a concrete bowl in my backyard with a whole it. It is so uneven I can't install a shed on it. They splashed concrete on the siding of my house and now that has to be replaced. They trashed my side and backyard with the bulldozer and did even try to level it out. I was told they fired the guy over this project (the nephew). But still won't make it right. They see my number and will not answer the phone or respond to text or emails. I called from an office phone with a local number and answered right away. BEWARE!

I hired them to grade a drive way and fill up a well, he was supposed to bring in a load of gravel and two loads of dirt and what I got was two trailer loads of busted up cement. A company brought a load of gravel and I paid the driver of the truck almost $800.00. Hugh put the cracked up cement in the well and along with scooping the cracked up cement he scooped up my garden soil. He did very little work to the drive way only to get more dirt to fill up the well. If you had all the time he ran his bobcat it probably would be 4 to 4 1/2 hours and charged me a ridiculous price. ( $1.000.00 )l thought that was mighty high. Needless to say the dirt from my garden that was put in the well on top of the cracked up cement settled down around it so l got someone else to do the job correctly and he was very reasonable with the price on working with his bobcat not nearly as much as Hugh. This company did some work for a person I know and shortly thereafter the cement cracked in two places. This person told me that is their last time he'll do anything for me. I would not recommend this company to do a job, to me his price is high and not only that, while he was doing my job, he broke a rafter on the overhang of a small porch, tore down two electrical wires and broke a $200.00 storm door, it seems he is not very careful.

The job was completed as promised. The quality of work is great. They installed a 25 x 30 concrete slab at our church. They installed a new driveway for one of my neighbors. Great job!

Very nice crew. Did a wonderful job putting in our concrete driveway. Hugh made sure we were happy. I would recommend him.

Hugh is a super nice guy, but shorted us about 6 feet of concrete, ran into our fence, and broke it, the concrete did not get done properly and has clumps of cement on the edge and wrinkles in it. He said he would come out and look at what he shorted us and never did. I also paid extra for him to grade off the other part smooth and it is in, so I will have to pay someone else to come in there and grade this. I am still hoping he will come out and make this right but do not want to keep calling him.

They began the driveway 6/13/21 and completed it on 6/16/21. It was in the evening when it was completed and things seemed to be ok. However, after further review in the light, we found wood left stuck to the cement, lots of chipping and unevenness on the edging, and chucks of dried cement left on the sides of the driveway, not cleaned up. Not to mention the original job had to be adjusted after they started, as we were told they could not do a portion of the original agreement after they had already begun. We dealt with that, but the inadequate installation and clean up is unacceptable. We have contacted Hugh 10 times since then to include sending pictures 2 times at his request to no avail. Initially he said it can be fixed and that they would return. However, since then there has been excuse after excuse as to why he has not come back yet. To date, 9/9/21, he is saying he ll call in a week and rudely said we are being too picky. We are not confident that will happen as he has promised to call back and to come ever since June. Very unprofessional with pathetic customer service, which is the owner, Hugh Harrison. We should not have to keep calling him to try to resolve these issues. Obviously, since he has gotten paid, he has no interest in taking care of business. We are considering legal action, but in the interim, are sharing this information in hopes it helps someone.
