Great work at a very reasonable price. Fast, high-quality, and great customer service.

Work was done fast and clean up was good. Still finding a few old roofing nails in grass. Easy to work with, would recommend to others.

We gave the owner a $6000 deposit for materials. After 5 months of being told over and over we were next in line or that our roof would be done next week, we finally got fed up with the excuses we got from the owner himself and demanded our money back. The first time we tried to cash the refund check it bounced.

They did a splendid job. Prompt respectful of my property cleaning up as they went. They did the whole roof in 13 hours straight. My roof is the envy of the neighborhood!

Scheduled appointment for an estimate promptly after contacting through Home Advisor. Arrived on time. Very personable and professional. Gave an estimate in writing with materials explaining materials they use and customer service plan. Followed up by phone and email. Job started the very next week and was completed in 2 days. Would use again and recommend them to a friend. Reasonably priced especially for the excellent customer service received.

Problem: I paid Mr. Campbell $15,000.00 for a deposit on my roof replacement and never saw him again. He provided me with a quote of $20,700.00 on July 13, 2018. I gave him the deposit on July 20th, 2018 and the check cleared my bank on July 23, 2018. I have yet to see any work done. I have called repeatedly and sent emails to no avail. The owner, Mr. Campbell has lied over and over, promising to do the job but he never shows. I have been trying to get this job completed for close to a year now. I have finally accepted the fact that I have been lying but I hope that my post will help someone else avoid the financial loss and mental anguish that this lair has caused me and my family. I see on HomeAdvisor that Mr. Campbell has pulled this scam on other unsuspecting consumers and it is my opinion that his professional license should be rescinded.

Did not listen to what I wanted Did not come when promised in the beginning Did not keep screws out of yard ect. Did not move screws when stripped caulked screws that had stripped out holes with clear caulking instead of color matching.

They worked with me to find a time that worked for both of us and we on time to do the job. The guys were professional, polite and did good work!

Attempted twice to have roof repair after contacting them twice aWorkman came to house and stated he did not have the right equipment and that he would return next day. After 2-3 days I contacted the company and asked when the Workman would be coming back? Was told that my paperwork had been filed as completed and that they would come the next day. The next day time was arranged, but nobody showed. This company is a joke and I would not recommend.

This company is wonderful! They showed up early & stayed until the job was done. They are incredibly professional & great to be around. Not only that but the cost was very reasonable. The owner came by after the work was completed to make sure we were happy. The roof looks great & no more leaks. I fully recommend The Ruf Company.

Very professional

JT is a very conscientious young owner who takes pride in his company and his customers satisfaction. Winter weather in N.C. mountains is quite a challenge, but he managed to get the job done in the agreed upon time frame. I am very satisfied with the project and would highly recommend him.

TheRufCo did an excellent job with my metal roof. The workmanship was outstanding and their employees were very professional. We would definitely use them again. Their prices are very reasonable.

They were a great crew removed and installed the new roof,great service if I need another roofing job I will call them.

BANNER ELK READ THIS SOUNDS LIKE WE WERE AT THE SAME TIME, SO SORRY TO HEAR you are still waiting. NO I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY, NOT SURE ANYONE WORKS THERE, I LOGGED OVER 50 CALLS to them... Banner ELK seems to be a pattern the owner has to finally be engaged. I have to do the same thing as this does become a legal issue. This company has some internal issues. I got quotes from 5 contractors the first week of October 2018 after the Hurricanes caused damage to my home in Walnut Cove. Selected Rufco on 10/9 sent the check that they deposited on 10/12, I called and Called, The gentleman that did the quote no longer worked there and they were getting this scheduled but, I was told that throughout October and November, finally, the office manager told me the owner would come out because they did not even have the measurements as the past employee had not provided them. So, I do not how they were scheduling without any materials even ordered. If this was communicated in October instead of taking my money not returning calls and scheduling week after week I would not have not used them. I understand the Hurricanes and was willing to wait until the end of October due to workload but there was something new every week. JT, the owner showed up the first week in December. Then again they were coming Wednesday, I took off work again, waited and called multiple times left a message close to 4pm just do this tomorrow. After they told me the pricing was not valid for metal as I was quoted. Then to quote JT comments I cannot get it for free, DID not ask for anything FREE So, They have my money for 2 months and I had been mislead over and over. Just a bad experience of unprofessionalism, then to finish my experience since the pricing was not clear or new provided after JT came out. So I just wanted the back slope of the roof over the main family room where the damage had taken off siding and busted windows from trees, They did the front roof over the second story bedrooms So I did not get the project done for the roof that needed the replacement/repair. I actually have paid this man in full. I asked for the warranty on the products used, I never got that or their insurance. Just seems the blame game, misleading conversations ..Bad employees, Bad Customers, Bad Timing, Bad communication, Bad SOW, Bad Weather, Bad pricing and Bad Deliverables etc, Had two guys do the tear off and one lone guy worked all day to do the one section by himself not sure if they sub-contract but, that is a good question to ask during the quote process, especially after a storm or weather has caused damages. I hired RufCo on October 22, 2018 to replace my metal roof. They seemed to have it together and their references checked out. I gave RufCo a substantial deposit and was told that the materials for my house would be ordered and delivered shortly. I received a call 4 weeks +- later saying that they had ordered the wrong material but they would reorder that day. The order was not placed until late December. The owner and his foreman have promised several times to show up on my job site only not to honor their promise. There are always excuses - but they still have not shown as promised. The owner hired a new project manager 1 month ago. He said that they were running 5 crews and promised me they would be on site two weeks ago. They never showed. He promised me again that they would be there the next week. He texted and said he needed two more days. In two more days, they called and said that someone had changed the schedule and they would not be showing up. I have been asking for a week now for a new date. They have not responded. In addition to not doing as promised - the flashing they have done has been sub-par. DO NOT CONSIDER THESE GUYS - I AM IN THE PROCESS OF HIRING ATTORNEYS TO GET MY DEPOSIT BACK. If I sound upset - I am - my project is on hold because they will not perform. I am filing a formal complaint with Home Advisor right now.
