As a Certified KonMari Consultant (trained by Marie Kondo, author of 'The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up' and featured in the Netflix series 'Tidying Up with Marie Kondo'), I work with clients through the five categories of clutter. First, we tackle clothing then move on to book and paper. Next, we focus on the other rooms/categories in your home. We leave sentimental items until the end. Just as important as the skills learned is the support of having a caring and compassionate professional by your side. Client sessions are three hours working hands-on in your home. Declutter. How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because Currently recognized as a Silver-level Certified KonMari Consultant, I work with clients to declutter, organize and create joyful space. Trained by Marie Kondo, author of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up and host of Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix, I am one of 200 Certified KonMari Consultants internationally. Alongside clients in their homes, I guide them through the KonMari Method. As they tackle each category in the home – clothing, books, paper, komono (miscellany) and sentimental – it becomes a practice of mindfulness as the question, “Does this spark joy?” is considered for each item. Through this practice, the client’s vision of their home and life come into being. The work is often emotional, and I find myself both crying and laughing alongside my clients. You can tidy anything with the proper system and support.

Amber was punctual, checked in by email and phone call several times in advance of arrival, was prepared with supplies and a thorough and expeditious plan on how to efficiently proceed. I was so happy with all she accomplished, and she will be returning a number of times to help me with a number of other sorting and organizing projects. She is a very nice person who is trustworthy and really knows her profession. I highly recommend Amber from The Tidy Bungalow!

Amber is caring, understanding and extremely efficient. She has gone above and beyond and I truly appreciate all her help. Organizing is not one of my strong points but with her help (and a great book she has loaned me) the task hardly feels daunting anymore. Thank you!

What is the screening process that Service Professionals go through in order to become members of the HomeAdvisor network?

  9. Identity Verification (SSN)
    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
