"Unfortunately when you hire a company to perform work, allow them to do work you still get an invoice for the work you had the company do."

Dirt bags that are after the easy buck. They will overcharge your insurance company then sue you for what insurance doesn't cover.

***WARNING DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY***** DO NOT SIGN THE CONTRACT *****A lot of positive reviews they have are from workers or friends. I promise what I am writing is the God's honest truth. I am a Realtor. I contacted a company that dispatched this company Thomas Restoration llc out to me the first week of September 2023 due to water damage. The owner Zachary Thomas called me and was really nice and let me know about how specialized they were and they could help me and that he takes care of it all from start to finish including the repairs. I set up an appointment with them and got the name of their business because like I said I called a company that just routes you to a contractor that is available. After I got off the phone I started looking at the reviews and they were BAD. I got really concerned and asked them about the reviews and they said the customers were lieing or angry because their insurance did not cover the bill. I asked then why are people saying things about the contract and you throw it in their face and sue them if their insurance doesn't cover it all because they say your prices are too high or you refuse to send them the estimate and bill? He said that They got the notice and they are just hostile clients******* my story***** I know I know.. I should have seen the red flags. I believed them because I know how it is dealing with angry clients. But Thomas Restoration llc are a bunch of thugs, liars and scam artist. 1. First visit a guy came out by the name of Rich very nice guy. He wanted me to immediately sign a contract and and I did not, due to some of the reviews from others saying don't sign. So I told the guy I did not feel comfortable signing until i get an estimate and a approval from my insurance company. So Rich did a moisture reading on the wall where rain was getting through, that I pointed out and did not find any moisture. A few days later the owner said he spoke with my insurance company and got an approval to start work. The owner sent his brother Hunter and I pointed out the one wall where the damage was that I gave permission to cut and went upstairs to work. I came down stairs a few hours later and was shocked to find an additional wall that i did not authorize cut into on the opposite side of the damaged wall, a big hole in my ceiling that i did not auth or approve of, and my tile damaged. They were no where to be found. I went out side and their truck they had parked in my driveway was gone too. They decided to leave really quickly without telling me or my daughter that was home. They later said the other wall they also cut into had moisture. It did not. They cut into it to make the job a more lucrative pay. I asked for the readings they took since they claim they took pictures. The only picture they took is after they cut into my wall, they took a picture with the moisture reader, showing moisture levels. . They sprayed the inside beams on My wood with water to make moisture show on the reading. I have cameras all through my house. They also roamed to the other side of my house to use the bathroom and took a dump in my toilet and left their booboo marks all in the toilet. You dont roam peoples home without asking. They are very entitled people. They will not send me what the costs are, pics before they cut into the wall that I did not auth and are ignoring all my calls and text messages. Once you sign the contract they get really aggressive and rude and stop responding. I got really upset and felt violated and tooken advantage of once they started lieing and avoiding my calls. I had to start texting long messages to let them know what they did and I wanted answers. They still will not respond. I had inspectors come out and they all said this company had no reason to cut into my other wall. There was no damage there and they were out for money.

Horrible experience with this company I do not recommend. I truly believe that they were trying to scam me for money. My laundry room flooded, and water spilled from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor. Unfortunately, this incident happened on a four-day weekend on a Saturday July 3rd and I called this company to help me. They arrived that evening and used their moisture sensor where you could see obvious water damage and said it needs is to dry out. I told them I do not know who my homeowner insurance is but I did get it through KB Home. I specifically told them multiple times that I will be using my homeowner insurance company, but I will have to wait till Tuesday to find out who I am insured with to make a claim. The employee of Thomas Restoration Tyler told me for them to leave their equipment I have to sign a cash deal contract for 1,350 dollars because I do not have my homeowner insurance information. I asked Tyler if I sign the cash deal will it be voided once I get my insurance information and Tyler told me yes. Tyler told me once I get my homeowner insurance information we will use that instead of the cash deal. Tyler stated to me that cash deal is just to leave their equipment until I get my insurance information. Tyler placed the fans and kept mentioning to me that it does not look bad and that I would not need to use my insurance which did not sound right, but this was my first time dealing with this situation so I did not know. On Sunday Tyler came to check the moisture and told me one more day and it will be all dry, and again Tyler kept telling me that I do not need to make a claim with my insurance and that Ill pay more out of pocket if I do, but I kept telling him I am using my insurance. This made me feel uncomfortable that he was trying to persuade me to pay cash and not use my insurance, so I called another company to come out for Monday to get a second opinion. Tyler came back to check the moisture again on Monday and yet again told me the same thing, one more day for it to dry and he would not recommend using my insurance and I again replied with I want to use my issuance. The 2nd company that I called for a second opinion came that Monday and used multiple moisture reading tools and showed me where it was still wet, they recommend removing the tile and baseboards to dry it out and that Thomas Restoration were using the wrong size air movers. I told them like I told the first company I have no idea who my insurance company is and that I got it through KB Home. I do not know how but they found out who I was insured with and I then started a claim. I called Tyler and told him what was found by the 2nd company and that I no longer want to do business with them, Tyler then said well you signed the contract and that I owe him 1,350 dollars. I told Tyler that I filled a claim and that they can proceed with my insurance. His supervisor Kelton called me, and I explained the situation that it was very shady that Tyler kept insisting to not file a claim and that no demo will be needed because it was mostly dry, and that the 2nd opinion I got showed that there was still a lot of water in the walls and tile. I gave supervisor Kelton my insurance company name and claim number so they can get paid for their work. Two months later in September I get a letter from a collection group that state I owe Thomas Restoration over 2,000 dollars for not paying them for their service. I called Kelton to get more information on why I was sent to collection when I gave him all the information and Kelton told me that they could not reach my insurance agent which is a lie because my insurance agent asked them for an itemized invoice to see what the are charging me for, and they were unable to produce any documents to why they were charging so much for fans.
