"This project was in 2019, If these atrocities had occurred as she has described. Why did she wait until late 2024 to posted her review? Allow me to elaborate, she waited until the statue of limitation expired for me to demand contract payment in full because she knows she refused entry to her residence to keep from paying her bill. Additionally, the customer fails to share that I gracefully did not seek the remainder of the contract balance legally owed to me after she was found in the wrong by the MHIC board my licensing agency, who deemed her at fault and liable to pay the remaining contract balance. She was converting her basement into an apartment for her daughter, and that for the $19,000.00 she paid on an over $70,000.00 project, inclusive of labor and materials is that a new opening for an egress window was opened and egress window completely installed under the direction of a structural engineer, and that duct work and venting were completed, framing, fire-proofing and wall insulation were completed, all electrical wiring of outlets and recess ceiling lights were completed, kitchen and laundry room dryer venting completed, as well as HVAC duct work to direct heat and AC in to the new living space were completed and with the exception of the insulation, all were county inspected and approved. There are multiple county document to show the homeowner Leyla denied access to myself, my workers and the Charles County inspector on 2 occasions, the county inspector was trying to make his last inspection of the insulation before we completed the few remaining items. Leyla threatened to call the police if we returned to her residence. A contractor can only enter a residence with permission from the homeowner entry was already a problem in that we had to always wait for her daughter to wake to come open the door sometimes requiring us to wait up to 1 hour after arrival to begin work. For my company to continue to get an audience with the client would have been harassment. The items left on her job were drywall install, finishing and painting, kitchen cabinet install, door and door hardware install and the painting of her concrete basement floor (the client kept all the materials: All the drywall, and drywall screws, that should have been paid for with the second draw, that she denied access to her home instead of paying). Lowes was to install the kitchen and laundry room appliances. I was the second contractor hired for this project, the other identified her ignorance to the cost and job intricacies and took her deposit money and ran off without doing any work, according to her. I wish you all the best Leyla, I allowed you to keep the remainder of the contract balance because you stated on multiple occasions your family life was emotionally and financially taxing. I will continue to take the high road. God Bless you and your family."
