Thomsen Construction, LLC

We would absolutely hire Thomsen Construction again. We felt like a priority with Paul - he responded promptly to every message, gave us an estimate that was absolutely reasonable, and finished the job -- literally all of it was done before any other company came out to even give us an initial estimate! We usually get three estimates before moving forward, but Paul left such a good impression on my husband that we accepted his bid right away. This morning when I left for work, the corner porch post was rotting at the bottom. When I got back, it was all repaired with new wood and looked clean and great! He even sanded the porch rails he replaced so they were smooth to the touch. Thomsen Construction was fast, affordable, had friendly service, and did a great job. They made it really easy for us too. We will definitely come back to this company whenever we need it, no hesitation.

We are extremely pleased with the deck that Paul and crew built for us. They completed it in the time frame that they gave us. Paul is very detail oriented, organized and was respectful of our property. We highly recommend Thomsen Construction to anyone looking to build/ rebuild a deck. Thank you Paul and team.

Paul and crew were awesome throughout the process. We are very happy with our new deck. We went with new composite, top of the line Azek decking. Paul was flexible with the design, even after the initial quote was made and we purchased materials. He has a “get it done” mentality, and very much wants to ensure you are happy with his work along the way. Can definitely build a nice deck, and is very reasonably priced compared to others. Would definitely hire again.

I am extremely pleased with my experience with Paul, from start to finish! His knowledge of deck repair was evident in the suggestions he made and was able to accomplish on a project that I thought was beyond repair. Already plan on him coming back to replace my front porch.

Professional, prompt, attention to detail, and charges are very reasonable and affordable.

Paul came to our mobile home to see our bathroom and hear our needs and plans to replace both the flooring and the shower. He listened, asked questions, we asked questions, he assured us he was comfortable with our ideas, and gave us a quote for a two-day job. We felt he was responsive to our ideas, and his questions for us and responses to ours all left us feeling fairly confident. He said he'd purchase the materials, and we would just pay the receipted amount. After days that stretched out over two weeks, after ruining the material we had bought for the shower walls, after setting the shower pan in place incorrectly and out of plumb, after we made a trip to purchase new wall materials and he installed them so poorly that not one corner lines up, there is a gap that flares to nearly a half inch along the bottom of one wall, and dirty caulk is smeared all around. He never got to the flooring. He came the next morning and broke down, saying he knew he couldn't give us the result we wanted, and he wouldn't charge us anything, time or materials. He picked up his tools and left. We were left with a mess. We can't afford to have the shower Paul installed pulled apart, which will break it, and start from scratch, so we'll have to make do. As unhappy as we are to damage Paul's chances for employment by sharing just how poorly his efforts turned out, in the end we felt not doing so would be risking other folks having similar experiences. We sincerely hope that this experience has brought Paul to a clearer understanding of what his skills actually are, so that he can stay within them, while perhaps learning to expand them on his own time and resources.

Paul does a great job. He is very thoughtful and obviously an experienced deck builder. Ha definitely goes the extra mile.

He is very good at problem solving and has great solutions.
