I wouldnâ t recommend Trace to install engineered hardwood floors. Trace scheduled my job for July 5,6,7 of 2023 and finished October 8, 2023 due to many factors. July 29, 2023, Trace told me that Accent Flooring (Accent Flooring hired Trace as an installer) said I had to pay him (which Accent denied) which I did. Trace said heâ d come back on weekends to finish up. He worked a few weekends in August, then said his babyâ s due date had changed from September to August. Then later the babyâ s due date changed back to September. Part of the delay related to finishing up was that I had him replace several boards and transition strips that werenâ t installed correctly. Then Accent Flooring hadnâ t measured correctly related to the transition strips around the fireplace and they had to be re-ordered causing more delays. Trace didnâ t come back until October 8, 2023 and spent 3 hours replacing a bedroom transition strip, putting down 1X 2â s in master closet to cover spaces left between floor and walls, installing transition strips around the fireplace that had been re-ordered, and tacking down more places on the baseboards that werenâ flush with the walls. After Trace left October 8, 2023, I noticed the transition strips around the fireplace werenâ t glued flush with the floor-there were large gaps between the floor and the transition strips. I called Trace and Accent Flooring. They both said the problems with my floors and transition strips were caused by me walking on my floors before the glue had dried. Who spends 10,000$ on their floors and walks on them before the glue has dried?? Accent Flooring said they hire independent contractors (Trace), so Accent isnâ t responsible for their installers work. I called another company who guaranteed their work. Their installer came out and for $200 they were able to make the transition strips around the fireplace flush with the floor. I filed a complaint with the BBB about Accent Flooring.

Trace went above and beyond for my remodel. He was invaluable and became a partner in a lot of the decisions I made. I cannot recommend him more. Heâ s trustworthy, a great communicator, works efficiently, and goes the extra mile to make sure his work is always quality.

Very knowledgeable about hardwood floors. Had them move an old wood floor out of one room and into another. They also put in vinyl laminate floors. Did a great job! Would definitely recommend!
