Through The Trees

Jason Landrum is all talk and no action. We paid him for three sets of custom cabinets and while he delivered three sets of cabinets, the workmanship was terrible. Our first painter quit because of the crazy shape the cabinets were left in. He said he was losing money on this job because of the amount of time he would have to spend getting them to where they needed to be in order to even start priming. The one cabinet he did paint, he spent literally 12 hours sanding it and getting it fully ready before he could even prime it. Jason did not take any responsibility and blamed the painter, even though his website and contract stated that the wood would be sanded and smooth, ready for paint. The timeline for our project was 3 weeks to build, 1 week to install. In two days it will be 3 months since the project was supposed to be completed. We paid five figures for three built ins, had to spend even more money to hire a second painter and another carpenter to fix up his mess. Shelves that are supposed to be adjustable were banged in with a hammer and are in so tight they can't be properly removed. When Jason was asked to adjust them (since he decided to cut them to size on-site instead of cutting them properly to begin with) he made a face and said nope. Then he packed up his stuff and left without saying a word to us. Arched glass doors on another cabinet were so sloppy that we have had to line up another carpenter to make new ones. This is just a short list of many issues we have had with his work. As of today the website for Through The Trees is gone. If you see Jason Landrum's name, or his partner's Trent Cook, associated with any other business name, run very far away!

Jason ... is a scam artist.... he makes a ton of promises and does not follow through ... we are now 4 month in waiting on our closets...basically he is broke and has no staff because he does not pay them... do not let him in your house ... unfortunately we are going to take him to court to get our money back

Funny thing. We really liked these guys - They were very professional and outlined what they would do and listened carefully to achieve exactly what we wanted - In fact, I have more work for them - However, communication went down the same road we have experienced with other contractors - They failed to communicate or simply chose not to - We have shaken our heads concerning this - If you do not want the work then say so - For the woodwork they completed we were waiting to get their painter on board and we were made all sorts of promises - This went on for weeks - Last we were told Jason would come by with his painter to review the job on Wednesday, September 9th in the afternoon for an appointment - They never showed - I texted twice and no response - It is now almost a week later - We are moving on at this point.

Jason is easy to work with. He listens to you. So far these guys are great! We have alot of projects ahead of us.

Through the Trees did an absolutely fantastic job. Great to work with. Followed through with any suggestion I made. Took my ideas and made them better. They were so fun to work with. I would highly recommend them. I will use them whenever I have a new project. I had such bad experiences with contractors in the past. They made me believe again.

Very pleased with the quality of workmanship. They showed up on time, completed the job efficiently, were easy to communicate with. We plan on using them for upcoming projects!
