I was in my previous home for 12 years. So I forgot the pain of finding service providers that I could rely on and trust. I am new to Suffolk and new to my home. There are so many unaccountable people in service, particularly in HVAC. Just doing what you say you're going to do is enough to make you stand out. But Tidewater Pro Air became stars in our home. My only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. They did what they said they would do, making them stand out, but what made them stars is everyone I've been in contact with seems like they actually care about my family's comfort. Before any money was exchanged, Joshua Gray did things outside of the normal scope of a comfort specialist visit. I'd rather not mention specifics because I don't want readers to expect that as their baseline. We had a serious humidity problem as a result of bad advice and a series of companies and people who didn't care. Josh presented several options including repair and replacement of our two units. He set detailed expectations on both paths. I didn't want to spend the money on replacement, but I invested my entire first summer at this house on AC appointments. I did not want that to happen again the following summer, so I opted for replacement over another repair. I was nervous because other firms had been pushing a crazy expensive option as if it were the only one to solve our problem--and we had two units to replace. We had just bought the home. We didn't need that expense. We were trying to lean on the home warranty, but it was sucking up my time and peace of mind, and I wanted to put HVAC problems "in my rear view mirror." Josh mentioned there were some units out there that cost about $15k each, and even he said that was crazy and not necessary to solve our problem. When he got back to his office, he drew up several options. I felt good when he said each option would solve our problem. One included the crazy high option for comparison. We didn't go with that one, but each one was new, more efficient and better than what we had before, and guaranteed. What I actually ordered was out of stock for a few days, so I got an "upgrade" if you will, which was in stock. It was the same unit with a different cap and different labeling. The cap helps to keep leaves from getting into the outdoor unit. It also looks better. There was a mishap during installation. A crew member stepped through the ceiling. But Tidewater Pro took responsibility and addressed it fully. I didn't have to chase them like I am having to do with others who have damaged the house. In fact, I didn't have to pay until it was fully addressed. But I did. They are running a business, not a charity. I felt a gentleman's obligation to do so. Again, this is where accountability, care, and respect come into play. I take it for granted, because it's what I do for customters in my business. It's what I expect, so it's really noticeable when it's missing. It has

Pro came out same day, went over the whole air system and reviewed recommendations and fixed the immediate problem right away. No charge to come out and evaluate system. Very happy with the service so far.

I'm very impressed with Tidewater Pro Air. My home HVAC system was malfunctioning with very unusual symptoms. My former service provider rushed and tried to throw parts at the problem with no result except for a lot of wasted money. Tidewater Pro Air approached it in a very deliberate and thoughtful manner, took their time, and resolved the problem without the need for a single part and at an amazingly reasonable price. I'm a customer for life.
