Timberwood Inspections is a registered dba of Stephens Engineering Consultant, Inc. (SEC), a locally owned and operated structural engineering, home and commercial inspection company. SEC delivers quality structural engineering and inspection services at a fair price! Our professional inspection and engineer services cover every aspect of your inspection needs. We cover all of the Houston metropolis and surrounding communities. Services include: home inspections for buyers and sellers, structural and foundation inspections, and structural engineering design services for renovations/remodels. PLEASE NOTE: We do NOT currently provide design services for new foundations, new residential/commercial structures, and/or building additions.

This was not the type engineer that I requested through my description of the project. Also , after our walk around the project I asked for some notes or a report about his recommendation and he told me that would be $400 more. I would have taken notes myself if I would have known this up front.

"Our scope of services for Sherry [Consumer name withheld at their request] was to provide engineering advice for some eroded ditches on her property due to storm related flooding. I was very up front with her that our initial fee, which was minimal, was only for a site visit and verbal opinion. I'm a civil/structural engineer and definitely qualified to provide the needed advice. It was only after the initial site visit that she requested a written report which would have been an additional fee. It was unfortunate that she was confused."
