Phelps Construction and Tree Service

Communication was lacking throughout the whole job. Workers more often than not showed up 2 or more hours late, which caused them to be here later in the day than they should be (sometimes 9:00 at night). The job, which was supposed to take about a week, actually ended up taking 3 weeks.

Tim did a good job on the trees removal.

He is a logger who knows his craft.

OK

Completed work on timely basis. Very professional and courteous.

Very nice people. Great job.

Well- where to start? Leah is a lovely person who tells you what you want to hear. We hired them to remove very large trees from between two houses. The very first tree went down on our pool, our deck, the neighbor fence, and two sheds. They promised to make it right. Well, 3 weeks later they continued to blow smoke so we called their insurance company. GUESS WHAT? NO INSURANCE. Upon being hired we asked for proof and she handed us a copy of an old bill that had not been paid. So we are out over $5,000 and the neighbor about $3,000. NOT COOL. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. The next time we see them will be in court- we will not stop until we are paid.

The positives: they were quick to contact me and give a quote. They were able to schedule the service quickly. Leah was also pleasant to talk to about the project and the follow up (see below). They did a good job of taking the tree down and cutting it up for removal. They had 2 helpers working with Tim on the job and finished quickly. The person who did the stump grinding came several days later and did a really nice job with this. The negatives: apparently they are not insured as advertised. After cutting down my tree there was an accident with their trailer rolling backward and taking out my garage door . They immediately took responsibility and agreed to replace the door but have had issues with arranging to pay for this. I ended up paying to replace the door myself and they have agreed to pay me back. This is the reason for the low rating on value, though the original quote for my tree removal project was reasonable. If it wasn't for the issue with destroying my garage door I would have given this company high marks.

Wonderful people

Leah, Tim, and team were great! They scheduled a meeting to quote job next day and the work was completed a few days later. The crew was fast and efficient and clearly knew what they were doing. Would hire again.

They came out and did a very comprehensive job, even working when it got dark. They returned calls immediately, and worked with me on the price.

Fast and professional. Highly recommend! Great people to deal with! Thanks!!

Their employees have a great work Ethic . Polite And respectful. I would call them again.

The company was great they came in and did a fantastic job.

Tim and Leah were wonderful. Explained fully what they were going to do and did it. Would definitely recommend them.

Phelps construction, pleasure to have on the job, it was not a small job, and had cuts that took a lot of skill, with no mistakes. Clean up was great, went over and above to make sure we were happy customers, I would recommend this company with no hesitation!! Great job everyone! Thank you.

Wonderful communication, and got the job done in a quick and timely manner. Cleaned up job site so well you wouldn't have known they had been there. Excellent service. Highly recommended!

They accomplished outstanding work in tight quarters I will call them again and highly recommended them Work ethics like there s is hard to come by these days. Thank you Phelps construction

A bit pricy. Did not pile small limbs on my burn pile as I requested.

These folks work hard. There were a few glitches with timing. But since it was all outdoor work, finishing the job (trimming back very tall hedge and tree branch trimming), most was dependent on cooperative weather. The communication was outstanding, however.

Good communication, very professional

After great communication with Leah, we had all issues resolved and all challenges overcome. Very good people. Our house looks beautiful now. Thank you very much Phelps Construction!

Highly professional, well mannered, good people. They knew exactly what they are doing: really big trees that they cut for us fell within inches of where we intended. And, they have done it in a very safe way, which is very important to us. We're planning another project for next season and to hire them for that one as well.

Work crew was outstanding, went over and above what we expected. We had our awnings painted and they were meticulous. They respected the property and cleaned up very nicely. Would definitely hire these folks again.
