WARNING, BE CAREFUL WHEN HIRING THIS COMPANY. THE LABOR CHARGE ALONE FOR APPROXIMATELY 6 HOURS OF WORK WAS $1655. People need to know what they are dealing with when hiring this Company! They are just too expensive! I hired Bobby Kieffer from Thomas Kieffer and Sons Electric out of Morris and Alexandria, MN. On the initial visit, Bobby came to my home and was only able to install a dusk to dawn security light. I am remodeling my basement and needed some lights, electrical switches and boxes put in. A few weeks later, the first truck from his Company came and started work around 9:30 AM. Bobby came a-little later. Bobby left for the day a little before 3:00 PM. The initial truck left about two hours earlier that Bobby. Basically, six hours of actual work equals $1655. I talked with Bobby and he defended his bill, explaining to me that he charges travel time and around $86 an hour for each worker on site. They installed 4 Led ceiling lights, 4 light switches and 8 other various electrical boxes in the roughly 5 hours of work on 11/26/2019. I cannot give this Company a positive review, as the labor charge is totally out of line (my opinion). If I was a Contractor and gave someone a 6-hour (actual labor) bill for $1655, I don't think I would be in business very long. The total bill for the roughly 6 hours of work came to $2180.12. I will pay this Company what was billed; however, I have ended our relationship.
