Job completed on a timely manner.

I called Tom's Appliance Repair to repair my refrigerator which was not defrosting and not cooling. Tom arrived very late and only because I called to remind him of the appointment. Upon arrival, he proceeded to defrost my freezer. I had to leave for a brief family commitment and, upon return, he told me that he was finished and changed the thermostat. He charged me $250. He gave me a hand-written receipt on a tiny piece of paper. Two weeks later, the same problem returned. I called and he said that the control board was the issue and he would give me a quote. Days went by with no response, while my food spoiled and I sent multiple texts. When finally reaching him by phone almost 2 weeks later since the problem returned, he said that he had ordered the control board and that it cost $245. I told him that I had looked up my fridge model defrost parts and that there was no board and that the defrost timer was only $28. He told me to send the model # again which I did. No response after that. I finally had to call GE. The technician came and identified the problem right away as the defrost heater. He replaced it and charged me $240. He also told me that the thermostat had not been changed by Tom ... it was the original one. Needless to say, Tom did not know how to repair my freezer, lied about changing the thermostat, lied about ordering a control board and did not reply to my multiple requests to come over and repair my freezer while my food spoiled. Tom is the worst technician I ever hired. HomeAdvisor - please do not endorse him further. Homeowners - do not hire this individual. He is unethical and not even remotely knowledgeable.

This guy ordered a part for the appliance and charged us for it there on the spot. He had us make a check out payable to him personally. The work he had done fixed the problem without needing the new part. The check was cashed by him. He had promised to reimburse us the amount of the check, which was for $200.00 minus $100.00 for the cost of his time. We had agreed on this, but after several calls he has not sent us the $100.00. We were willing to wait for awhile, and after promises to send us our money in a week or so, then after another call he promised to send it in a few days. He never gave us a written bill so I guess we are out $100.00. I just wanted you to know this.

Called within minutes of my posting request, came the next day, Was friendly, fixed problem easily. Reasonable charge. Would use again and would recommend him to others.

I called Tom and he set up an appointment for the following day. He was prompt, friendly and I now have a working washing machine. His pricing was very reasonable and I will rehire in the future.

Tom was courteous, effient and helpful. I would use him again ahould the need arise.

He said he could fix our LG fridge. He had no clue. He had to YouTube how to get the door off. He only fixed the fan. He put the fridge back together wrong. He missed the defrost line being clogged. I had to clean off his blood on my fridge when he was done. He was also very uncooperative when we called about concerns. We had to hire someone else to finish the repairs. We are out $400 because of him. DO NOT HIRE

Had concern when we initially saw him because he physically appeared to have difficulty moving and so perhaps took longer to do the work? And he didn't look professional as he came in an older model car without any printing to indicate his business. However, he diagnosed the problem correctly and got the part needed and repaired my dryer in a week, which was satisfactory to me.

He showed up on time. Ordered the part and actually came and put it in on a Sunday. I thought the repair was a little costly but being a widow with no iota of how to fix anything was grateful for the good service

After maintaining that he knew the problem with my Samsung fridge he spent over an hour unable to figure out the problem and charged me $120 which I paid. I then called him and said that the repair work he claimed would solve the problem did not, and that we agreed he would return my check or cut it up. Instead he cashed the check, which we had not agreed to do. In fact I told him, and he agreed, that once my checking account billing period passed and the check was unpaid, I would send him a check for his troubles. He agreed with this solution--and then cashed the check anyway. In my opinion he doesn't know what he's doing, is untruthful in his dealing with the public, and with whom I wouldn't ever do business.

Tom was very nice came on time melted all the ice inside the fridge for about two and a half hours and told me to keep an eye on the fridge and let him know if it worked or not and to call him, he guarantees his work and that he'll come back , he asked for 200$ which I thought was bit much I offered 150$ so he went down to175$ including the service call which I think is ok . He's a good old fashioned guy good manners polite and courteous . I kept checking the fridge and it's been working so far , thanks Tom will call you next time we have a problem. We are happy 😊

Tom kept open communication and notified me of need to change appointment and his estimated arrival time. On arrival to home for service, he informed me of the most likely and cost effective issues/problems to rule out first before assume the issues could be due to large major appliance repair parts. He explained what he did, simplified what I needed to do and look for if the problem should arise again. Definitely recommend.

The repair man arrived on time and took 1 1/2 hours working on my dryer. He took his time trying to determine what my problem was and tried 4 or 5 different options before coming to the conclusion the motor was frozen. He was honest and told me it would be more cost effective for me to buy a new dryer instead of buying a new and expensive motor for a unit that was 8 years old.

He worked on Saturday! He knows what he is doing!

I hired Tom to repair my dryer because he said he could fix the dryer in Friday when the Whirpool repair service couldn't come until Monday. I stayed home fro work on Friday. I'm called late in the morning to tell me he couldn't come until Saturday. He came later than he indicated, didn't have he part, would be back on Monday. Came on Monday, didn't have another part. I think the dryer was actually fixed on Wednesday. He never arrived when he said he would. One of his visits he left and only told my 14 year old daughter that we didn't have the part he needed. Didn't tell an adult.
