Prompt and courteous

I spoke to the owner by phone and made the appointment for the next day. The fellow who arrived was a sub-contractor, Near, who is sent out when the company is very busy. Near was very pleasant, checked with the owner about the price quoted, and did the job in about a half hour (re-keyed a lock & made extra keys). The lock works fine, so very pleased with the service. I thought the price was kind of high, but considering that they come to you and this is a skill we don't have, it was not outrageous. In my research, I found that Top Lock has a good reputation and good ratings on several websites, so that is why I chose them.

I signed them up to do the work. they kept telling me the part was coming in the mail for weeks. they took a nonrefundable deposit of approximately $125 by Credit Card. now I have had to place this charge into dispute to try to get my money back. yesterday, when I called - and 2 days before that they would not even take my calls. UNBELIEVABLE !!!

Tech had good understanding of what I was trying to accomplish. Went to work, and came to me when he was complete. We inspected work, and everything was perfect!

When I saw that all it took was drilling 2 holes into the lock inorder to open it, I have to say I found the price a little on the steep side. Had he offered a discount for installing a new lock, then maybe I would not have had such mixed feelings. He was quick to arrive, so I did appreciate that.

The gentlemen who came to the house to perform the work was extremely professional, calling me prior to coming and explaining in detail what he would do. He also gave me some tips in regards to a problem I am having with one of my doors. I would definitely use Top Lock again.

It was not explained properly to the technician what the job entailed so he was surprised at what was expected. He was not a perfectionist which is really required for this kind of work and we needed to advise him. Overall, job was well done and he was dedicated to doing what we asked.
