When my partner and I first met Elijah in late June 2022, we were relieved to have finally found someone that seemed reliable and trustworthy. Someone to help us complete a bathroom remodel after an initially horrible experience with a criminal convict contractor named Daniel Barajas. Elijah promised us the world and guaranteed we would have a beautiful bathroom in no time, yet he could not provide us with any photos of prior work (â lost on an old iPad as he said). Still, he charmed us into believing his work was state of the art and that he was a complete professional â based on his remodeling of a horse shed! After this, Elijah then pressured us to make a decision about hiring him. He warned us we would lose our place on his busy calendar if we did not secure a deposit, so we wrote him an initial check and signed a contract. We know that this is not a safe policy and we should have purchased any necessary materials with him in person to ensure transparency and honesty, but, regrettably, the mistake was made. After a couple of weeks, Elijah demanded a second check that he claimed would cover costs of the remaining materials needed for our project, which was set to start the last week of July. Despite being weeks away from the scheduled demo day, Elijah demanded a second check for a two-check total of $3,500. At first, giving Elijah this sum made us feel like our project was his top priority. But that is how con artists work, right? Once the second check cleared, all of his timely calls returns, rapport, and courtesy vanished. He ghosted us, and screened and ignored our calls for a month. Feeling alarmed and worried, we called incessantly until he answered and issued a phony apology. But the ghosting only continued and at best he would only text me to say he was too busy to call. When our start date finally approached, we were contacted only to be told he was delayed indefinitely. His excuse? He had to dig up a dead tree before he could start our job on time. This alleged tree delay continued for two weeks, although this is a one day job at most. When we told him we were running out of patience, and after over a week, he promised he was on his way to start the project. The delays were month by month, week by week, day by day, then hour by hour. To our astonishment, one day, after I sent him a link on how the Justice Department prosecutes ripping off senior citizens, he finally showed up in our driveway. After sitting there for 10 minutes in his backed-up car in a creepy and intimidating way, he finally stepped out, and approached our front door. Unsure, I opened the door with caution. Instead of saying I am here at last to start the job! he blurted out that he was refusing to do the job he signed a contract for and was paid to do. In his hands, he held out two checks a cashiers check and a personal hot check for $1900 that promptly bounced. In the following weeks, trying to recover our deposit was like trying to squeeze blood out of a stone. Throughout the ordeal, Elijah acted like WE were the nuisance for asking for money back in a timely manner and being victimized by his endless lies and deceptions! The truth is, he could not produce our money in a reasonable time because he never purchased the materials for the job!! He was unable ever to produce any receipts for even a penny of $3500 of materials! So it turns out that he actually conned us into giving him an interest free loan (!!) so that he could take a 4th of July trip to Austin and fix his truck as he himself let out!! During our final attempts to get our $3500 back, Elijah sunk so low as to laugh at us (see screenshot below), insult us, and blame us for a problem that was â 100% your fault! This was hard-earned money that I entrusted to this person, never mind the 8-week long jerk around he put us through.

He is just horrible, he just keep promising and nothing happens. Never trust him

I previously wrote a negative review, and just wanted to say that after we talked about the reasons behind the delays, and he installed- he did a great job. My fence looks 1000% better than before, and better than what I was assuming I was getting.

Talked to Elijah initially in either May or June and he called to follow up, which I took as a good sign. Unfortunately, that is the most communication I received from him. Once I gave him a deposit he was basically a ghost and I am considering that money a loss. His contract stated the job would be completed by July 9. It is now August 13, and I still do not have a wood gate. I am so disappointed and if I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT HIRE HIM!

He could do a really good job but he has poor management.

Do not call customers if you do not specialize in that type of job.

He is a very hard worker, very intelligent and he knows his landscaping.

Elijah arrived on time with all materials ready. He worked fast and had us check his work as he went along so he knew we were pleased with his work. He made suggestions that improved the outcome. We are very happy with his work and professionalism.
