Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install
The owner of Top Notch Construcrion and Beyond LLC gave me an estimate in May starting the job June 15th. At that time he said it would take 2 weeks or less to complete this job. I asked him how many people on your team. He told me 4. I never saw 4 people working. The first two days only there was 3 people. After that it was him (Jeremy) and his helper Maria. Maria broke a 4 foot vase and begged me in tears not to tell Jeremy that he broke the vase. I said ok don t worry about. Seemed odd but ok. Now they would work hard in the mornings head to lunch. When they would come back they would be high on marijuana. They would stink horrifically. And then the work would be slow the whole afternoon I m pretty much they would leave at 3:30. Their hours were 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. So we re on week three July 6. He came and rang the doorbell according to him and texted me. I was in the shower. He waited seven minutes by the time I got out there I opened the garage. He was still there, but never came inside. He decided to leave and go home. I texted him 30 minutes later thinking that he might have gone to Lowe s. Nope he decided he wasn t gonna work that day. Tuesday he worked gave me an attitude. I didn t talk to him at all. He did ask me since I was going away Wednesday to Friday who is gonna be here to let him in I said my daughter-in-law he said OK he didn t have a problem with that. Wednesday no-show. I called him. I texted him. He said he had an emergency at the office that he would be here Thursday at 8:30 AM. Wednesday night he texted me said he didn t feel comfortable with my daughter-in-law here. I don t know why so he decided not to come Thursday Friday. I told him to come at 3 o clock and pick up his stuff and leave. He owed me money which he gave me a check for. I hired new contractors to start Monday July 13th. They had to rip out 36 pieces of tile to make corrections. In fact the box on the tile states not to lay the tile 50/50 but to lay the tile 30/40/30. Which he did not do. He played it 50/50 which now I have warranty because the tile was not installed correctly. I left a review on Monday July 13th. Which I have the right to do. Jeremy threatened me to remove the review and he was going to give me one day to do or he would take me court for defamation. I said that was fine and to stop texting me. He kept on texting me. Name calling threatened me that I better remove the review. At that point I blocked him. And he started messaging me through Angi messenger

"I started the tiling for this customer at $6,500 and completed it and got paid as well. The customer added extra work of painting the inside and 5.5 inch molding installation too. That's why the job took longer than anticipated. Reena wanted me to start the painting before I finish the tiling which I did and she also wanted me to start the moldings without completing the other 2 contracts. I told her I don't want to bring moldings and we're painting I would have to leave them outside and it will damage. The next day she said that her and the entire family is going out of state and she don't know when they will be coming back and her daughter-in-law would be there to open the door for me. But when I ask her who will pay when the job is completed she never responded. I told Reena that if there is no one from the family that will be in florida. I would like to wait until she comes back, she then said to come get my stuff. Then when I went to collect my stuff she said that I will have to give her $850.00 to get my tools, when I agreed she said no and that I owe her for my worker breaking a vase which was a surprise, but I still payed her what she asked for which was $1,100.00. I collected my stuff as she requested because I didn't want to complete a job if they're travelling out of state. I told her I gave her more than what she wanted at first. The customer and her daughter teamed up on me inside the house and was cursing me out. That's when I started packing up my stuff as she requested and payed her what she wanted and left because the daughter said she called the cops on me just as I started packing up. I deescalated the situation as usual then Reena followed me and even opened the garage door for me when I payed her. This customer isnt telling the truth. I've done everything she asked of me even when she cursed and argued but leaving the job to overseas when it's in the final stage of completion is way beyond ridiculous for me. Anyone would agree!"

Jeremy and Marie did a fantastic job on repairing my upstairs bathroom. The tub was leaking which caused some major issues. Jeremy came analyze told me what had to get done and he executed and did an amazing job. Thank you Jeremy and Maria. I appreciate you working with me with my schedule.

Tile: Ceramic and Porcelain - Install
My husband and I chose this pro because he provided us with a fair price for our project, and stated that he could do the work on the following weekend. We agreed that he would start 3/7/26 and I confirmed with him at 9 am 3/6. At 12:30 he texted that he was delayed at another job and wanted to move my job to Sunday and Monday. I told him he had been hired because he committed to the weekend, but he basically didn't give me any other option, so we agreed that he would start on Sunday at 9:00 am and we would determine what other days we would be able to adjust our schedules to be available. 7:00 pm Saturday night he calls me stating that he has the flu but that he will come anyway. I hesitantly agreed, but then he said he would not start on Sunday unless we could commit to schedule other days now. Obviously there is no way to confirm my ability to take time off at 7pm on Saturday. He would not budge and hung up on me. We will hire elsewhere and are very glad he did not start.

Had a closet shelf put in. Jeremey and his partner did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. The shelf is very sturdy and able to hold weight like I wanted. They picked up the parts/materials I needed also which is helpful and saved me time. I would use them for other jobs again.

Top Notch Construction did several projects for me. Work was top quality, and reasonably priced. The projects were crown molding, interior painting, replacement of siding and trim on outside dormers. Also repaired aluminum soffit.
