Pre-Fabricated Fireplace Unit (Gas) Installation

We had Top Notch install piping and connect piping to 2 new gas fireplaces. One of the fireplaces leaked afterwards. We called PSE and their inspection report showed the installer had connected the gas fireplce to the LP connection at the gas valve and it should have been connected to the natural gas connection. We have called three separate times to have them come back out and fix this. This complany has not returned any of our calls. It was expensive to get this work done and we are very disappointed in this company. I would never do business with them again because they didn't care about thier customer.

Top Notch personel installed my gas log system on Christmas eve (in time for a planned family function). In spite of very bad weather conditions (snow and icy roads), they installed the unit as agreed and on time. Came back promptly a second time when a glitch in the system was found and took care of the problem.

First, I should say they were very friendly - the scheduler and the workmen. However, I would not recommend them. They were scheduled to arrive at 8:30am. When they didn't show I called, they were very embarrassed, apologetic and they got them out later that day. They spent 25 minutes on the project and charged me $350 - replacing a flex connect. I was quoted two prices based on two options for the project. They chose the cheaper option/smaller project but charged me the higher price. I felt extremely ripped off.

They seemed to have done a good job. However, I think it would be more ethical of them to tell people about the gas surcharge up front rather than after the fact.

Did not install a shut off valve from the main line to the BBQ which I believe is a necessity and also a requirement per county regulations. I would appreciate a call back on this.

Pros: Took their time in understanding the microhood installation guide and was quite meticulous. Cons: They were quite young and didn't seem very experienced. However it didn't matter in the end since they did a great job.

Had a water leak where they cut into the roof. They did not respond to repeated phone calls or emails. After threating them, they finally called and asked why I did not have someone elser fix the problem. After speanding over $4000 for this company's service, I felt they did not want to be bothered with fixing something that was not done correctly to begin with. Then the owner question me why I just did not have my contractor fix the leak since he was already on site. I had high expectations from this company and liked the workmen on site, I just do not like the responses I got from the owner. No customer service after they were paid.
