The guy who installed the fence did a great job. He did it in one day and two hours. Amazing.

I LIVE IN ARDEN Why Top Rail Fence? If there is any other fence company available, I would suggest you use them. It was a nightmare from the time Top Rail Fence was hired until their final attempt of taking the majority of the fence down and trying to install it properly. Also, they wanted their money and (ALL) of it up front, they said it's the only way they do business. Not only was the first attempt at the installation a total mishap, but the fence panels and the posts were scratched, chipped, and damaged. The company apologized and said they would supply new materials and send a crew out that knew what they were doing, I was put on the schedule for a later date for them to remove 95% of the fence and try again. This particular fence company does a good portion of their work through Home Depot so I thought it would be done right, WRONG. I contacted Home Depot and talked to a manager that travels from store to store to work with vendors. This guy was useless, he looked at the fence and didn't say much except he agreed it could have been done differently. His name is Daniel, he never mentioned about the many damaged panels and poles, in fact he never apologized saying that was not the kind of work The Home Depot put out or that he was sorry for my inconvenience. He was argumentative sided with the fence company; he was not at all representative of what I have encountered from other workers at Home Depot. If he was my employee, he would be fired! Well, that's not the end of it, when Top Rail Fence came out to re-due the fence, I was threatened by one of their employees. When I asked the foreman what was the matter with this guy, he said he wants to go home and doesn't want to be here. Needless to say, this guy scared me so bad that I stayed in my home and didn't come back out. Another comment that is note worth is when the salesperson came out to bid the project, for some reason he couldn't help but tell me how much he liked to smoke pot, it was nothing solicited, just something he wanted to share. They did the job in the rain and when the job was finished, the foreman knocked on my door and suggested I text him saying the fence installation was done satisfactorily. I was so upset at that time at being threatened, that I sent him the text he wanted without looking it over. When I did, I saw it still wasn't right but felt intimidated to the point if I didn't do what he said, there could be consequences. By the way, I worked for a fence company for 5 years when I was younger, so I do know how they should be done. Buyer Beware of Top Rail Fence. Jim

I had the Greenville branch and Cookie and his Crew did an great job!!! Fixed any adjustments I noticed before they left. I asked for Cookie and his Crew because my neighbor had his vinyl fence installed several days earlier by the same team. I got 3 quotes and before pulling the trigger and their price beat others substantially.

Do not be fooled there are basically 2 separate companies operating under the same name. 1 company in the Greenville area seems to have good reviews and 1 company in the Charleston area that is horrible and using the other companies good reviews to get a better review rating. We unfortunately hired the Charleston area company to build a fence for us. It seemed like Brookview is contracting out the fence work to other companies. Extreme lack of communication caused the 1st crew to not know what type of fence they were building. The crew built a pretty fence but did not have the supplies to build what we hired them for. Another crew came out and finished building but said the fence caps were on back order (they were not) and they could not finish the fence until the caps came in. Gabriel then asked for a payment even though the fence was not complete because he **needed the money to make payroll and buy the rest of the supplies**. We did not pay because the fence was shaky and the job was not complete. The second crew returned about a week and a half later and installed all but 2 fence caps (incorrectly and shoddy) and then requested payment again. We told them we would not pay until the job was complete. The crew then returned the same day and installed the remaining caps. The next day all of the caps except 7, came off because they were not installed correctly. I spend my Saturday today re-installing the caps correctly. We had another company evaluate the work and we are told the post holes were not big enough and because Brookview had to cut the length for the caps that it was not possible the post were buried deep enough. We are going to wait the extra two weeks it took Brookview to build our fence before paying the final invoice. The Charleston area segment of this business is unresponsive, does shoddy work and should not be in the fence business in our opinion. I would highly recommend steering clear of this company no matter what the price and I will say shame on the Greenville area business for allowing this segment to use their good reviews. Check the location of the google reviews for all the bad reviews and you will see for yourself. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

I couldnâ t be more satisfied with how my fence turned out! This company works fast and does it with QUALITY! I live in Johnson City and every other company I called was booked 3 to 4 months out. Andrew contacted me ( I went through Angiâ s List) It was scheduled and completed all within a two week timeframe. I recommend this company to anyone who is in need of fencing!
