Top Shelf Deck and Dock

If I could assign a negative number to Jared Hale's company, Top Shelf Deck and Dock I would. He put a vinyl fence around an existing deck and removed the iron railing at the top of the landing. We then paid him over $1500 to begin the second phase of the job in January. It is now June and we have had nothing but excuses and promises to get the work done. We have also had to correct several problems with the fence that he did "complete". When we told him we would need to hire someone else if he couldn't finish the work he said he didn't have the money to refund us. And now we can't get him to answer his phone!!

I will never recommend or rehire this contractor to ever do any work for me again. We hired Jared to build a wood fence for our new home and he showed up half the time and had his helper who I never met do majority of the work. Many overruns during the job and and constant new materials we had to buy only to find out later it was used to cover up deficiencies in workmanship as we have one of the three sides of our fence that has laid over due to improper installment of the post. Along with the $1900 we paid for the install we will have extra expenses fixing the NEW fence. I have tried contacting Jared over the past four months since the job has been completed to no avail without even the courtesy of a returned call(more than a dozen phone calls). I finally heard back in a text after letting him know we would be taking some legal action. He responded with a text With lies about comments my wife made and berating us about products that we purchased were cheap and that is what we deserved. I would SERIOUSLY recommend that you look elsewhere to do business as I will never have this person anywhere near my property again....EVER!!!

Jared cleaned and stained 2 decks and a large gazebo . He went out of his way to match the colors I wanted He was easy to work with and is someone I could trust to get the job done right
