Metal Roofing - Install or Replace
$9,400
I paid $9400 for a roof that took 30 days to finish which leaked at the 1st rain. The roof had been left open and it allowed yellow jackets to enter our house and moisture. The roofer came back once to try to fix the problem (but didn't) and that was the last we heard from them. Each time we called after bad weather their phone mail box was full, so I'm sure we were not the only people having problems with these guys. They had not bothered to get a permit on the roof so it also wasn't inspected by the building inspector. I would not suggest using this company to even my worst enemy.

Flat, Foam or Single Ply Roofing Repair
$10,000
Contractor committed to project beyond his expertise. Should not have attempted to do extensive carpentry and stuck to repairing roofing leak problem . Initial job quote of $3K + progressively, at different stages, escalated to final billing of $10K +. Was slow to respond to phone contacts. Inefficient in using existing materials and discarded usable materials. Work crews were inexperienced and lacked expert supervision at all times.

Flat, Foam or Single Ply Roofing Repair

Mr. Wright was fast in getting the job but slow in finishing it. I think he is a poor business man. He was advised that a building permit was needed and told me it was included in the price. I ended up having to get it myself and he never paid me for it ($250). We never had a contract until AFTER the job was done. Luckily, the work was satisfactory. Getting a written warranty was like extracting his teeth. He told me that the warranty was for 30 years; the manufacturers brochure which I finally obtained says 20 years. Mr. Wright was exasperating and I will not use him again.

Metal Roofing - Repair

This is a preliminary review and I will follow-up when the work is complete. We experienced a roof leak last evening, so this morning I contacted HomeAdvisor.com and was put in touch with Top to Bottom Roofing. Robert Wright called immediately and came out later the same day. He not only identified the problem that needed repair, but identified other areas to address as well. His bid was totally fair for all of the work and he gives a 5 year warranty on the roof, even though his company didn't do the original install. We are totally pleased so far and will follow-up when the work is complete.

Metal Roofing - Repair
The agreement called for the removal of steel panels and application of underlayment. However, the agreement called replacemet of metal panels. I took this to mean the installation of new metal panels, and therefore I agreed to the price of $6,600.00 for the repair of one valley. However, after the underlayment was applied, they reinstalled the same old metal panels. At a cost of $6,600.00 for the job, I had expected to see the installation of new metal panels..

Very professional. I filled out the request on HomeAdvisor.com. The next day I was contacted by Robert Wright of Top to Bottom Roofing. He came the following morning, which was a Saturday, addressed my problem, which was a dead valley on my roof. He checked my entire roof for any potential problems, identified any potential problems, which was on the opposite side of my portico. The following Monday my main problem was fixed, as was the opposite side which was very close to failing and leaking. In addition to fixing my leak, he also checked out the entire roof, caulked around roof vents, sealed end caps, reset nails, and I received a contract stating his work was warranted for 5 years. I have already referred to him to family and friends, one a with current issue, some who just wanted the name of a reliable, cost efficient roofer. I am very pleased with his work and would hesitate to refer his services.
