Gas Furnace / Forced Air Heating System - Repair
Jan 2026 I want to share my terrible experience with Total Comfort Heating and Cooling. To start, I scheduled a routine maintenance appointment for my furnace in November and they could not find an opening until early January. As I get no notification the day before that my appointment is still on the books, I call to verify and they say it is. They do not give me a time window and then call me the day of the appointment to ask if I can reschedule. Their next opening is not for 3 weeks. If you are looking for something to actually show up on time and within a reasonable time frame. Stay far away from Total Comfort Heating and Cooling.

I am giving two stars because they did the work and replaced the impeller on my pump for my boiler. In the end, I asked for an itemized invoice - parts, labor, taxes, etc. broken out by line. The invoice I received was a one price invoice with nothing broken down. I called and asked for an itemized invoice and they sent me the same one - not itemized. I called again this morning and was told the company does not do itemized invoicing - so I have no idea what I paid for and how much they charged me for the various components - the biggest two being parts and labor. I told them on the phone I would never do business with them again.

These guys are absolutely awesome! We had a cracked heat exchanger and it was dangerous to continue heating because of carbon monoxide leaking. The original duct work was all done incorrectly and caused the furnace (and A/C} to overwork. We had their representative, Danny come to our house one afternoon to give us a bid for heating, duct replacement, and air conditioning. Well, by the next morning we had we had a whole team of guys here and ready to start work on the job. I still don't know how they managed to pull it all together so fast! They had the new furnace, duct work and air conditioner all here and ready to be installed! These guys were all awesome. They worked so hard, and they went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with what they were doing. We would DEFINITELY recommend using Total Comfort and their great team! Our furnace broke when it was the coldest this year. Got Total comfort through Home Depot. They were onsite same day and provided the estimates with next day installation. We had our heat in less than 24 hours. Hooking up of A/C was performed when temperature went to 52-54 F. So far everything appears to be working good. Will come to know about A/C once we are in Spring. Total comfort promised that they can be reached in Spring if there are any questions or help needed with this installation.

Both guys were great, polite and professional. They each knew what they were doing and worked well together. They installed a garage heater and it was -12 outside. I would have rescheduled. They still came out and did the work. They took precautions in the garage to keep warm.

All were very cordial. Randy, Keith, and Liza did a great job with the boiler installation. I'm pleased with how it turned out. Quick test seems to show it works fine, but the really telling will be when it turns cold and we need heat in the fall.

Rip off, they over charged me in ADvANCE. I found out about it when I received a notice of over due on my Home Depot credit card. Yep, was charged full price prior to any work being done. Then when I called I was told I cold NOT return the furnace and AC unit even though It was not yet installed or even scheduled. Total Comfort never returned to recharge my AC as promised. They charged me over $8900, later found out I could have had the exact system installed for $6,800! The salesman pitched a bunch of BS and then offered the promotion from Home Depot and charged the entire thing -rip off. AND yes I did contact them numerous times as well as Home Depot credit card, which is not a part of Home Depot, and all three players pointed at the other as the reason I was charged in advance and they could not refund my over charge. I finally paid the bill as I was threatened with collection and didn't want my credit score to suffer. TERRIBLE service and a bunch of greedy liars.

I was pleasantly surprised. Keith and Tyler were very helpful answered all the questions are very respectful. Their installation was neat been done in one day. I’ve been a maintenance person and or a carpenter for several years and I was thinking about doing this installation myself. After seeing the job that Tyler and Keith completed there’s no way I could compete with that level of work. My wife and I are very happy that we decided to have it installed.

It could not have gone any better. Brian showed up right away and it turned out that we just needed some new fuses. He was very professional in explaining what happened and we were up and running in no time. We bought the unit from them about 10 years ago and have always received great service.

AC stopped working during a heat wave in the summer of 2021. Total Comfort was the only company with an available appointment to schedule an estimator to come out the next day. The estimator Jeff Robinson was thorough in explaining the options. The price was higher than expected, even with the discount applied. However, they were flexible in withholding the payment deposit until after the installation was completed. On the day of installation, two technicians came out Tad & Jeff. Even though we were all vaccinated, we were more comfortable if the technicians had a mask on inside the house. Initially Tad was reluctant, but appreciated he complied with our request when he was inside replacing parts inside the house. I would recommend their service, due to their professionalism, responsiveness and knowledge in their work.
