Landscape - Install Landscaping for Yard or Garden
They had breakdown of equipment (or something) & had to re-schedule 3X before they even showed up. They finally showed up 3 weeks after the original set date. Bush trimming done was fine but they left a fair amount of small leaves/clippings on the ground. I wanted an evaluation of the areas that could use landscaping/ flowers & they told me to go to Houston Garden Center's website to get some ideas about what I wanted. As the so called professional, I thought they would give me ideas of plants to use etc. I wanted tree trimming done but they were not prepared to do that on their first visit because they didn't have the proper equip.w/ them

They did a fine job on replacing my damaged lawn. Removed old lawn and dug up all roots from trees that were in the lawn. A little slow to start, but did exactly what I wanted. Very affordable! Best price for the job. Would recommend to my friends and family.

I had sod and mulch laid out in my back yard, and the grass is wonderful. The mulch was not put down correctly. There was no weed killer put down under the mulch, or any type of weed resistance cloth. So now 4 weeks later I have weeds comming up from the mulch, and a little from under the sod.

We had some initlal issues with the ground not being completely prepared for the sod to be laid down, but Mike was very good at fixing the problems and making sure that we are satisfied.

These guys are TERRIBLE!!! They do not communicate with each other (Mike and Jeff), Mike said sod would grow in my shady yard (I later did research and found you need 50 to 60% sun for sod to do well), they promised to be there one day, did not show and the promised to be there the next day, did not show....this went on for 4 days! I also had Jeff do a retaining wall (he said he had done many) then found out from Mike that Jeff had done 2 - and I was lucky as Mike said there would be no charge - I would NEVER hire these guys for a project that required experience. I had wanted to hire them and give them a chance as they are trying to start

"Larry was very hard to work with. It rained all nite before the day we were gonna do the retaining wall so the soil was very wet. So we had to delay it for a day. Then Larry told me that sod cant grow in shade and I agree it can't. Thats why you must reseed in the spring and fall the following year to change the make up of the roots."

Total Home and Lawn mowed my lawn once. I've called them twice to set up a return visit, but no one is getting back to me. I would like the lawn mowed much shorter this time. The price was very affordable.

They responded promptly, arrived on time, and spent a lot of time in the process of washing and then spreading sand on the drive and walk ways. The job was well done and the price was fair. I had to do much of the clean up of excess sand, but that was not surprising and was far less costly than having them come back several times to do it.

I have no problems with Total Home & Lawn as they responded quickly to my inquiry, were very friendlly on the phone and were able cut the lawn the following day. We openly discussed and agrred on a fiar price. I would recomment them to others and would use them again. I was out of town when they cut the lawn so I have no comments on the work, but when I returned 12 days later I should have had them cut it twice.

Not sure if I would recommend yet. Lawn was cut, but no one contacted me where to send the check. Finally after two weeks a call was returned. Will try them for a month as see how it goes. Jeff Heckman was very apologetic for the mixup. Will submit a rating at a later date.

Personall pleasent. Not will to quack wild grass or weeds from driveway or sidewalk. Even after paying 35 extra unable to get them to do the job correctly. very tacky work in back yard, front yard ok. would not recommend them to anyone.

"I did every I could to make Martha happy. I mulched her flower beds for free. I kept telling her to write down what she wanted done. She never did then she would call yelling because it wasnt done.My company will do anything to make a custumer happy we just need to know what extra the custumers want so we can do everything needed to complete the job."

Landscape - Soil, Sand, Mulch and Rock Delivery
I would not waste any time with this company as they already wasted too much of mine. They PROMISED to deliver and FAILED TO DELIVER No call to explain, they just never delivered the product that they promised to deliver after wasting 2 and 1/2 days of my time due to their broken promises. Stay away from this company, FAR AWAY!

These guys were great. They did everything I asked and gave me a great price. They weeded and cleaned my entire yard back and front and paid attention to the details. They mulched and did things that weren't included if I asked them! I was happily surprised. They were very kind and finished the job great just the way I wanted it done. I'll use them for everything having to do with outdoors.

Mr. Parsons called me the same day that I inquired about lawn service and he went out immediately and cut the lawn for us. He also charged a very reasonable rate. Mr. Parson's was the only company that called us out of the list that Servicemagic provided. Thank you Total Home and Lawn!! Hilary
