"This is a classic case of a home owner wanting to save money. Instead of letting an experienced contractor handle the project, they parted it out to several subcontractors looking for the best price. Also the home owner was responsible for ordering all of the materials. To address the above comments: Comments: 1. Either never showed up on time or would just show up without calling and letting us no what time to expect them. Being that we were not managing the project, it was the home owners responsibility to schedule the contractors. We scheduled the floor demo and install. waited for the cabinets to be installed over the new flooring and came back to do the finish work on the baseboards. the home owner works nights so the only time she is available is 8:30 am to 10 am ish - the rest of the conversations I had with her were through texts 2. Hired in October and didn?t finish kitchen renovation until April. We offer free design services to our clients. I provide links for flooring, tile, countertops and tile for backsplash. from their a worksheet is generated for the client to work off of. I ask for a scrap book of pictures of what they like in a kitchen 10/14/20 Client provided Kitchen pictures 10/25/20 Provide client project worksheet and 20/20 designs 3D designs and kitchen cabinet pricing 11/8/21 client has yet to review project worksheet and 20/20 designs 3D designs and kitchen cabinet pricing 11/10/21 send client links to stone companies that house natural stone and quartz slabs 11/13/20 I am send links for farmhouse sinks, stove hoods, backsplash and pendent lighting to review 11/13/20 I am sent flooring choices from the client 11/14/20 Client starts buying materials - hood & farmhouse sink 11/29/20 Client has not made a decision on the kitchen cabinets 12/01/20 Client has yet to make a decision on the cabinets, tile backsplash and countertops 12/28/20 the client purchases the kitchen cabinets from Cabinets-To-Go 1/15/21 Client request square foot for the flooring 1/17/21 Sent client revised proposal Note: have to schedule a sheetrocker, plumber and electrician in for changes in the kitchen layout 1/22/21 Note from client - some for the kitchen cabinets are on back order. 2 week lead time 2/10/21 noted that the two measurements in 20/20 designs provide to the client were off. 2/15/21 demo started on kitchen 2/24/21 Demo do, sheetrock repair done - taped floated and textured Note: client will paint the walls and ceiling 2/27/21 the cabinets are installed by Cabinets-To-Go 3/1/21 The countertop fabricator came in and made templates of the countertops Note: Notified the client that it takes 7 to 14 day to fabricate the countertops 3/22/21 the countertops are installed 3/25/21 we come back in to start installing the backsplash. 4 day job to install & grout Note: The client has made changes to the backsplash design 4/3/21 Installed the vent hood to manufactures specification and to code Project completed 3. Always had to call them and ask if they were coming that day. I could not plan my day because I never knew when to expect them As you can see from my time line, there were 95 individual texts sent not including phone calls the client works nights, so the only time I could call was in the morning 8:30 am to around 10am Called multiple time no answer- left v.m and follow up text I can't address the rest of the review, not enough space left. But I will leave you with this We run our business by the book no shorcuts and to code and provide 5 star service. IF you have no experience in remodeling, don't start by remodeling your kitchen IF you can't afford the project don't do it IF you are going to manage the project, don't rely on other people to manage it. IF you make changes to the project notify your contractor before the install date The are a list of IF's that I can't list."
