Stay away from this oil company. Run as fast as you can from them. You will be making a huge mistake if you sign up with them or renew your contract. Tragar refused to honor a deluxe service contract that I have with them. I have 2 different houses with them. They tried to fleece me for $525 labor for a 6 minute repair. Spoke with a Service Manager named Justin who was absolutely useless. When he realized that I knew as much as him about the necessary repair, he tried to lower the price to $275. This is not a company you want to do business with. I will be cancelling both my contracts in January, the first day I can. You have been warned.

Carlos was our Service person. He was here is 20 minutes and finished project 1n 30 min. I have ac presently at a 75degree temp and can actually breathe. So professional and friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone.

Terrible!!!! Had them for 5yrs old owner recommended. They take advantage of the elderly. My mother is 78 last year oil tank read empty and it was because someone over there dropped the ball on making sure they delivered oil in my area, came put in some oil to get through night then came next day filled up argued with me that it was not there fault try to charge her extra from coming out the night before. Every year they send out and call for annual review of contract which is over $300 (FYI all other companies are asking less the 1/2 of that) they never called. On auto delivery, came in sept, oct, november filled tank between 80-87 gallons. December came said they needed to fill 157 gallons, meanwhile in NY we have had 60 degree weather, no change in household from prior months to boot they changed the oil price with no notice. They stated they called. This all happened right after christmas with no warning they charged my mother more then double whats she paying on a fix income. When I called, they could care less. No call back, then a rude man named Chris acted as if I was bothering him, told me , sooo what would like me to do about it is, I emailed company and heard nothing back, they are far from a family run business, must be some shady family! Go to other companies, cheaper service plan, cheaper oil, they pick up calls and work with the elderly.

Had troublesome oil burner/boiler and standby water tank installed 3 yrs. ago. On Aug 19, 2020, Carlos Ordonez from Trager did extensive work on all three components. PROBLEMS SOLVED! This is a phenomenal HVAC company. This is the second stellar review I have given this company. Suggestion: If you have a problem with, or do not want one, use Trager for HVAC. They now service my AC and heating system and deliver my home heating oil. I am 77, so they will be doing work for me until I run out time. Robert J. Sabbatino RPh.

Tech arrived promptly on day of call and said that work was complete. Paid them. Did not work the next morning. Tech returned that day and said fixed. No additional charge. Did not work next morning. Returned -- said he needed to order a part -- would take a day. Took 5 days. Returned and installed part. Did not work the next morning. Went the weekend without hot water. Returned AGAIN and contacted Takagi tech support who talked him through it. This is also the same company that was supposed to Dom a preseason air conditioning preventative maintenance. They did not follow up.

I call this company up to rewire my thermostat because I mixed up the wires on my thermostat...I have the heat and the central AC into one thermostat...The guy showed up at my house and his first question was "wow! So much wire" I should have just told him to leave from that saying. He struggle to figure out which wire goes where on the thermostat. He got the wires going to the boiler correct but the central AC is another story. The guy says, yes I got it and when check my central AC wasn't coming on...He then proceed to look at my air handler and say oh! You need a transformer and a relay...I said what? My AC works all I need you to do is connect my wires to my thermostat. It lead me to believe he didn't wire it probably and wanna blame my air handler transformer...Strike 2, again I should've told him to leave...I allow him to change my transformer inside my air handler and relay. He left all the garbage next to my air handler and all my wires from my air handler was all over the place...He said oh! The transformer that I put in is burned out. Mind you everything was working before( shouldve told him to go) he put another one in and said its burned out again...He the checked the voltage and say I have 276 volts coming to the air handler...If I have that much voltage coming in, my microwave, stove everything that uses power would have burned out because that's high voltage...This guy just don't know what he's doing and he left all my wires out and unconnected. Now I have to get a license electrician to come and fixed his messed. Never trust someone that says so much wires and walking around in a daze...

Sent someone within the hour of my call. Promptly evaluated condition and got boiler working. Advised of future problem with part on its way out. Had him fix that too. Very easy to work with. Nothing hidden . Present cost for each option. Fair and reliable.

He came out on a snow day when nobody else could come out. He looked at my thermostat and realized it was a quick and easy repair. He saved me a lot of money with this simple repair. He wanted to save me money while others may have just tried to sell me a thermostat. His honesty is greatly appreciated.
