Transblue Mt Vernon

Our company was subcontracted by Transblue and after completing the project as they requested, they refused to pay their invoice. We ended up contacting the business owner who informed us that she had already paid Transblue for our work. If you are a subcontractor, stay away from this company; they will not pay and had to send them to collections due to their delinquency. We will never work with them again.

This company is the absolute worst. The Mt. Vernon branch owned by Jeff and Andrea Ashmore stole $13,700 from my husband and me for a deck project in May, then disappeared for months. This is a fraudulent company, and you should not hire or pay them for anything. Completely fraudulent company with terrible unethical people. would score negative stars if possible. ALL TRANSBLUES ARE LIKE THIS. Please save yourself and stay away!

They took our $3000 and are nowhere to be found!

I contracted with this company on September 29, 2021 to build a 1200 sq. ft. Trex deck. They were very quick to take my deposit (50%) with the salesman claiming that they would be able to start work in two or three months. It was not until March, 2022 that they discovered that this work would require a permit. That process to another two months...permit issued May 14, 2022. Still not a single blade of grass moved. I have found that the two Project Managers that were assigned (one resigned, the other was terminated) were not responsive to my requests, and made a number of commitments that were not kept . In my opinion Jeff Ashmore has no credibility or business ethics. Do not hire this company.

They took my money, and for over a year they accomplished nothing, not even the county permit. They finally agreed to refund my money, but they are past due on the payment and do not answer my calls. It has been more than a month since I heard from them.  Raising a red flag if you are building a foot retaining wall and they tell you you do not need a permit. They will gain themselves months of time before you realize you have been bamboozled.

The company was very responsive during the sale. Once they got the contract, they would not communicate anymore.

We contracted with Transblue Mount Vernon for a $40k deck/retaining wall project on December 17, 2021. We made a 50% down payment on January 18, 2022. We were patient in the beginning, completing preliminary work for the project. May 4 was the last communication we had from our project manager. A sub-contractor conducted a site visit and was prepared to start the work in July. I wrote to our project manager on June 15 to see if we were still on track. There was no response after three emails and two phone calls to several members of the franchise. I finally was able to contact the bookkeeper who told me that our project manager was no longer with Transblue. That was reiterated in a short email from the owner, Jeff Ashmore, who wrote on June 24 that he had to relieve some staff due to their not upholding the standards of Transblue. He promised to get back to me by July 1 with an update. I had written and called several times since then with no response until July 8 with excuses for not contacting us and vague promises. The sub-contractor who was to have started our project in July did not receive a response from Transblue regarding their proposal they had sent in May therefore, we are no longer on any schedule to begin work, 7 months after the signing of the contract. We were not contacted by Transblue that our project manager had left, to introduce a new project manager, nor to schedule work: unacceptable behavior from any contractor. This is a breach of contract on their part and we have requested our down payment returned. This is their response: ?Transblue Mt Vernon does not accept your termination as stated in your email, furthermore the down payment money has been used to procure materials and prepare for your project. So currently there is nothing to refund. No tangible work has been done on our project and the materials supplier they stated they were going to use does not have record of a procurement. I will update once this is resolved.

Fantastic service. Quality was meh.

I signed a contract and paid half the bill, said they would accomplish the job about 4 weeks out, The supervisor kept putting me off for 3 months, then would not receive or reply to my calls. Tried calling Transblue office and they have a answering service which they just pass message on which also took three times to get a reply. They finally accomplished the job, I would never recommend them.

I hired trans blue to create a base for a basketball court, they ground a tree stump and were supposed to level area build a retaining wall and gravel which they did. However?. When I went to frame for the concrete pour it has a 1ft slope. I called the guy who supervised the job and he is no longer there. He gave me the number to the new project manager Raymond Dell so I called him with my concern and requested to have it corrected. Raymond came out to inspect and his findings were that the 1ft slope is accurate and the job was done properly. The company is refusing to correct the job to make it TRULY accurate. Actually showed up when they said they would. Bonus Points. Completed my new driveway quickly and it looks beautiful. I'm afraid to drive on it for fear of screwing it up. Very professional, answered all of my questions, and installed the drive exactly as I requested. I would hire them again,

Jeff powerwashed our driveway and patio, with amazing results, exceeding our expectations. He also cleaned our roof (as well as fascia board as a bonus), taking care to clean up debris. Very professional. Will hire again.
