I had an issue with my oven that I mostly diagnosed myself. Russell reached out and told me that he knew what was actually wrong and had to order a $200 part to replace it. Thinking I should trust the expert I gave him the money and he came in to install it. The stove worked again for a few days before I got the same error. I ordered the CORRECT part and fixed it myself. I tried reaching out to Russell for a refund on the wrong part that he ordered and installed but he ghosted me. It's been 2 weeks and I've been working with the homeadvisor customer support folks to try to get my money back. He hasn't been reachable at all and I feel completely ripped off. Do yourself a favor and skip this person, get an actual expert who knows what they're doing.

Great Guy

Russel was great! He was knowledgeable, fast and had all the required PPE for social distancing. I would definitely use his services again!

He was very personable and got my washer and dryer hooked up, which is why I hired him. He left the washer crooked and I was unable to open the pedestal drawer, which worked before he came. He had to remove the doors to the laundry and one side came off after he left He did tell me what was wrong with my garage door and that was unrelated to the reason I hired him. His rates are very fair. I texted him after I noticed the washer position and asked about it, wondering if my son could fix it. He said the metal underneath the washer was stopping the drawer from closing. I would have given him 5 stars across the board if he hadn't left things the way he did and if he had offered to come back and fix it. My son was able to correct the washer. I will probably call him for other work but pay more attention to the finished product.

I highly recommend Russel Trapp. He is knowledgeable, prompt, careful, honest, and (in my opinion) charges less than his time is worth. I will definitely be calling him again.

Great value. however didnt come back and repair dry wall that was slightly damaged from his work. But, hard worker, honest, and fantastic price!

I hired Russell at Trappman Handyman to look at a refrigerator that stopped cooling. He was clear up front regarding his fee schedule and checked in with me before doing work beyond the base service call fee. He responded quickly and arrived exactly when he promised. His fee was very reasonable. I would hire him again for appliance repair or other services.
