The employees & owner of this company were very nice people so I feel bad leaving this review. However, the work that was completed for our new deck was horrible so I feel the need to leave it. Last year they replaced our deck which was a pretty simple & straightforward deck. They also did a small patio next to the deck. Firstly, the communication and delays leading up to the start of the project were awful. It was constantly delayed and I was having to keep bugging them for an update. At one point I was told they delayed our project again because they received another project that offered them more money to finish quicker - even though we hired them way before this project. I was also given a price for the project and then later the price changed (not due to any extra work or something that came up like rot repair). The price was changed because the brother forgot the agreement we had and what was supposed to be done. They hired subs to do the patio work and I was not informed of a start date until I received a phone call that they were already at my house working. When I got there, the layout of the deck was completely off so had to correct that. Fine, no big deal - it was fixed. But again, poor communication. However, many weeks later, they finally came out to do the deck. The framing for the deck went well and seems structurally sound. Once we got to the deck flooring and the railing, that's when the issues started. We had to have them come out several times to fix issues that were not done correctly and each time they came out, I feel like two more issues were found. And again, I had to hound them to get out there. They also did not honor the original design I had asked for with the railing and instead did something else that was already in the works before I could change it. Once I realized the deck was as good as it was going to get, I gave them the remaining payment and sent them on their way. I was NOT satisfied or happy with how it turned out and am upset every time I see my deck. Why did I pay them the final payment? Well, during the deck getting built, I was 9 months pregnant with a 2-year-old and had to repeatedly hound them to come back and fix things. It was causing a lot of stress for my husband and me and in the end, we decided we needed to be done and focus on the baby coming. Now that we no longer have a newborn, we are having to fix some of the issues. Below is a list: -Several nails on the flooring and railing sticking out -Loose floorboards on stairs -They did not go with the original railing request and had to settle for a different design -Railing bar top corner cuts were completely off do not line up -The railing bar top is warped and not fully attached -Steps leading to the ground are crooked & uneven -Railing framing is so uneven that it has caused the entire railing to completed bow outwards -Railings on steps are not fully attached and can be lifted up -Cut into the door trim at our back door and not only ruined the trim, but the replacement was horrid - It is now dented and covered in caulk These are only the issues I can think of off the top of my head (almost a year later). So far, we have removed the railing bar top and are going to redo so it is cut correctly and not bowing upwards. We will have to shave down the spindles so it sits flat on top. Unfortunately, if we wanted to fix the major issues, we would have to redo the entire railing and steps. The biggest bummer about this company is I was hoping if they did a good job on our deck, we could have them come back this year and work on our roofing and siding. I said that to them several times so was hoping they would step it up knowing they would have a returning customer. I would never hire this company and/or recommend this company.

The crew tore out 3 bay windows, 7 other windows, 2 exterior doors and replaced windows, doors and siding in 3 days as promised. I would recommend them to anyone with a construction project to do.
