Gave us a quote for 1 cottonwood tree removal and 6 stumps to be ground. The day they were scheduled to come, Michael Gemmell called 10 minutes before he was to arrive and needed to reschedule to the follow week. The day before they were to arrive Michael called again to change it to a day later. He said he would bring the stump grinder up the day scheduled and then come the next day to start working. I said that would be great. He never showed up with the stump grinder. They finally arrived the the rescheduled rescheduled day. It took them 2 days to do the work when it was supposed to take 1. We had to leave for a while on the 2nd day and since he was almost done, we wrote him a check, that is where we made a mistake. When we were driving back 30 minutes later they passed us on the road to our home. They only ground down 3 stumps instead of the 6 they quoted. They demolished half my lilac bush, it looked like they drove the stump grinder over it? After some arguments, and Michael trying to blame me for the things he did on the job site and or did not communicate to us, Michael promised to send me a $150 refund. It never arrived. After several more times of him promising it would arrive, it never did. He blocked me from the business Facebook and his personal Facebook and refuses to pay me. He will not return my call, he won't respond to any messages. I filed a claim with BBB hoping to get my $150 he promised in writing. I would never use Michael Gemmell or Hummingbird Tree Care in Montrose ever again.

Hummingbird Tree Care offers excellent services, and I highly recommend them to others. They are very easy to work with, and their prices are unmatched!
