Reviews
Write a ReviewI would give a zero if possible. By using a funds collecting company [Buildertrend] much like a construction-oriented PayPal, Tricities Remodeling Co overcharged me for a service that they didn't even perform. A structural engineering company that did an inspection for us, charged $385 for their fee. However, Tricities Remodeling Co [located in Gray, Tn] chose to separately invoice, charge and collect $700, without my knowledge of the actual charge from the service provider. I only discovered the overcharge while trying to get Tricities Remodeling company to provide me with a statement of the findings [they still haven't] for any future references involving ins., etc. When I brought this to their attention, they ignored me Also, approximate times of completion were GROSSLY over estimated and their project proposal didn't include major items such as flooring, ceiling improvements, etc., & several other items discussed & wanting 5,000 for a free-standing coffee bar cabinet! BE WARNED
Susan, I'm sorry you felt overcharged 6 months after we had come out and provided the service you requested at the price agreed to. We explained it was $700 to do an on site consultation with a structural engineer. We provided this as agreed. While the engineer portion was $385, we also provided 3 on site visits to review your project, which you significantly changed in scope after the engineer visit. Just the fact that you changed your scope based on the engineer consultation validates that
This company is very professional to work with. Also, they run their company in a very competent manner. The team that worked on our kitchen remodel was there on time every day and worked all day. They did excellent work and I was most grateful they had competent people doing their jobs. I did not want to have to look for my own electricians or plumbers. They have at least five teams that work on different jobs. I am very fortunate that I found Tri-Cities Remodeling. They did an excellent job and I now have a beautiful kitchen.
Renovated house.
Very professional and willing to answer all of my questions. Also very accommodating because I had a different project I needed done every time I called them. Thank you Andrew and crew for a wonderful job.
Always showed up on time and were friendly and productive.
Pleased with the work they did. Felt very comfortable with the workers. They explained things to me and were very knowledgeable.
They did what they said they were going to do
They did a wonderful job painting the entire interior of my home before I moved in. They kept me informed about their progress with photos. They also helped me out by letting a delivery person into the home for installation of appliances. They cleaned up after themselves and completed the job when promised after working me into the schedule.
This company has some great sales people. They will definitely tell you what you want to hear. That is, until the work has been "completed" and then they just make excuses as to why everything came out like crap! Shortcuts galore! The owners of the company don't actually do the work or even check to make sure it was done correctly. We had to call them back to the house many many times since we moved here from out of state. There are still several items no completed but Im so sick of having to call them to fix it, Ive simply given up. Do yourself a favor and dont hire this company!
Sorry, you felt a need to leave such a harsh review. We were extremely thorough in our work, constant communication, and daily pictures of work in progress. We came out to address very minute complaints, several completely unrelated to our work. For example, your very harsh Christmas eve day text complaining to us about icing on the inside of your single pane window that had nothing to do with our work (we did not install windows, provide insulation, or any HVAC, etc), but everything to do with the 1 degree outside temperature, while homes throughout Tennessee had frozen pipes burst, heat not working, rolling blackouts, etc. Our goal really is to provide very good service at a very fair value. We are quite confident that 99 of 100 people that saw your home before and after would have been very happy with the work done and the rate charged. Even while there with you, when firemen came to install smoke detectors they commented on how great the floors looked. But no matter what you do, some people will never be satisfied.
Great value and you canâ t top the customer service. Period. Work is top notch. Seriously, what more could you ask for?
