Please BEWARE of this provider! If I can give negative zero for lack of professional conduct, I would. I am not one to take the time out to write a bad review over trivial things. Hence, I felt I needed to write this review to caution you. Yes, I relied on this site and its reviews when I hired this provider. A contract was signed that he is to come by once a week (with a few weeks of vacation, no problem) to maintain the pool and inform me of any problems. He was good for a few months in then he started to show up sporadically then did not show up at all. When contacted, he informed me he had some personal problems. Feeling bad for his situation, I decided to give him another chance against my familys advice. I simply ask him to text me next time if he foresees any problems going forward. A few months pass then again shows up sporadically without any communication. When contacted, he promised me that he was in the process of fixing this and that to the pool. Long story short, he left my pool so bad that when I had the time to get 2 other pool providers to take a look at it, they both told me it had to be fully drained, disinfected, and the motor was so shot, it needed to be replaced....all this while I had to take care of my family situation in this pandemic. I even paid him while waiting for him to fix things because I felt bad that he may need the income during this bad time. John Lyman took my money and left me a mess, a very expensive cost of having to pay to fix a problem that could have been prevented...a problem that a knowledgeable, ethical, honest professional could have easily taken care of to prevent it from happening. John Lyman is a pathetic, shameless individual. And I am writing this in the hope that he never does this to anyone else.

John was knowledgeable and respectful. He made sure he had all the info and photos he needed to write up an accurate estimate and get us the proper heater for our pool/spa. He had the old one removed and new one installed and tested in a few hours. It worked well the first night we used it for the spa. Overall reasonable cost and prompt service. Thanks for all your help!

John was fantastic. Rats had nested and chewed our wires in our pool heater. We thought we were going to have to buy a whole new one, but after some troubleshooting John made some repairs and got it working again. He saved us a lot of money! His prices were reasonable and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was very conscious of our dogs and the gate and even had treats for them. Friends for life.

We hired John to start in November 2018 and for two months everything was fine but of course it was also winter time and the pool doesn?t need as much attention. Come February 2019 John was not coming on a regular basis ( every week is what the agreement was) and by April our tenants sent us pictures of our pool. In 15 years we have never had a green pool but it?s green today. We tried calling and emailing with no response. Once we sent email notice stating his service was no longer needed he informed me the clamp on our big filter broke when he tried to remove. We wouldn?t recommend this provider especially if you?re not living at the residence to keep an eye on the service

Friendly knowledgeable John was fantastic! He did the job at a reasonable cost and was most enjoyable to work with! If ever we need help again with the spa we will definitely call him!
