We encountered a failure of our garage door opening mechanism on a Friday morning. We discovered the failure on the way out of the house on the way to work. Remembering the ServiceMagic service for a previous request, I logged onto the site and searched for reputable garage door service companies in the Hudson, NH area. I selected Tri-State and submitted the entry online. Within two (yes, 2!!) minutes of the entry, my cell phone rang - a Tri-State tech had received the call directly and was following-up. We made the decision to have the Tri-State team come out for a service call later that day to assess the problem. George Fairburn was out with his team in inclement snow/ ice for 4PM, assessed the drive unit had failed, and was prepared to replace the unit onsite. We gave them the go-ahead, and the entire job was done within 2 hours. They also performed safety measures for both door springs, and 'tuned' both door mechanical devices. Lastly, both gentlemen cleaned the entire work space, and took the defective hardware with them to complete the job. I cannot say enough good things about this company and its employees. They are exemplary in all aspects of customer service, satisfaction and workmanship. I have recommended the company in highest regard to the Village at Barett Hill Condominium Association for future reference, and recommend them to you without reservation. Paul

They immediately called me and gave me phone numbers where they could be reached. They asked me if I had tried a few options (which, had they worked, would have meant I didn't need the repair). They were on-time, professionally dressed (as a woman, this gives me some piece of mind), friendly, courteous and went above and beyond the original repair (greasing the chain, for example). George is both very professional and knowledgable. He was flexible and friendly and willing to work with my schedule. George not only fixed my garage door opener, he also brought my door up to code by adding safety cables. He also educated me on additional repairs that would become necessary vs. the cost and option of replacing the door altogether. I will definitely hire George again and recommend his services to friends.

George and Rene were able to addition work to the garage door entrance that the other vendor was not able to do. They replaced the trimwork around the door opening and added a threshold to adjust for an uneven garage floor making the garage door seal properly at the bottom.

Prompt, professional excellent service.

The job was well done, with one major exception. The concrete under the doors dipped enough toward the post where the two doors meet, that daylight showed about two feet under both doors. The installer suggested to my wife that we use "concrete mud" to level the floor. I think that when the doors were measured, the floor under them ought to have been checked with a level. Is Tri-State is able to supply a wider gasket for the model they installed? I left phone and email messages. Meanwhile, I struggled to concoct an addition to the gaskets, to keep out rain, animals and insects.

Tri State was very accomodating and a pleasure to work with. I had an older home with a few challenges and they did a wonderful job.

George was punctual, cordial, and got the job done. He gave the better of the two estimates, so I went with him, and he fixed a couple of other plroblems with the door no extra charge.
