"The Contract we signed includes an Arbitration clause so that when a differences between Customer and Contractor arises it can be resolved. I am invoking this clause so that a knowledgeable, impartial party can decide what is the true story . We signed a contract to install 2 walls to form an office in a commercial storage area. Scope of work included; Hiring an Architect and Structural engineer to complete the required stamped plans because this is a Commercial structure, Meetings with Collier County planning, to insure zoning compliance, and than submittal to Collier County planning, Fire District, Collier County Building & Electrical Departments. We then responded to the questions from each. As anyone in the construction industry knows or has legally built anything, this far exceeds a 2 month renovation. We proceeded with the project and within 1 week were scheduling the required inspections. In order to pass the inspections, we had to remove the kitchen that had been illegally installed. Inspections complete, the drywall, painting, floating floor, ceiling tiles, electric and trim was completed in a 2 week period. At this point, an individual unknown to me and ignorant to the contract negotiation and construction procedures, confronted me with. THIS IS MY OFFICE AND WHEN WILL IT BE DONE!??! I replied it was none of his F------ business and to stay away from workers and inspectors. After passing final inspections, we provided the required County issued Certificate of Completion and Contract completed, received final payment. ENTER THE UNKNOWN INDIVIDUAL Statement; I don't like the paint job on this wall, Answer: We didn't do that wall Statement; the floor is not glued down and needs to be caulked at baseboard Answer; Its a floating floor, not to be caulked at baseboard. Voids warranty. A punch list was agreed upon and tradesman was sent to complete the work. ENTER THE UNKNOWN INDIVIDUAL Statement; I want all the walls and floor painted. I want the window air conditioner removed and replaced with glass I want the illegal kitchen installed I want the backsplash at the owners new home installed Answer; Enough, we completed our Contract. In summary, I would say this complaint was filed by the UNKNOWN INDIVIDUAL, as evidenced by the lack of accurate information provided in the complaint. It's easy to file a complaint, it's hard to defend. However I will happily provide a list of references compiled over 40 plus years of construction experience and fine workmanship completed throughout Naples."
