I CONTRACTED TROUBLE SHOOTER TO IDENTIFY AND CORRECT UNSAFE ELECTRICAL SITUATIONS AND UPGRADE THE ELECTRICAL SERVICE IN MY ELDERLY PARENTS' HOME. I LIVE OUT OF TOWN, SO I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WAS NOT ONLY A MASTER ELECTRICIAN AND TRUSTWORTHY, BUT ALSO SOMEONE WHO HAD THE PERSONAL SKILLS TO INTERACT WITH MY NINETY YEAR OLD PARENTS. BILL TOPEKA DIDN'T LET ME DOWN. HE WAS THE BEST!

Quick and upfront service done in timely manner. I had an outlet recepticle replaced and an exterior light fixture replaced. It took about 1 1/2 hours. He cleaned up when he was finished.

Bill Hopka owns the business and does all the work himself. He was very quick to schedule my work, arrived on time, and did a thorough, professional job. Another contractor even commented on how good a job he did. Trouble Shooter Electric did the job well, and equally important is that I trusted him. Use this electrician! You will not wonder if there is a better electrician to use in the Baltimore region.

I had them come out to fix a breaker problem and they were going to call me when they arrived on the project, never did, call me before any work was done to give a quote, never did, then called me with a very large bill that was more than twice the highest quote that i got for the time allowed. he was never authorized to complete the project.

""This was a Service Call which the barmaid, at the bar, signed an agreement, authorizing Trouble Shooter Electric to proceed with the repair. This included Time & Material, which was never paid. There is no way to quote a price for A/C not working until you take items apart, including the Breaker Box Cover, Ouside Diconnect Switch, and so on. Then from there test the 3-Phase Breakers, which leads to checking outside units for Power. Total bill was $315.00 and fault was corrected the same day. The bar had A/C working again on 7-29-2009. This repair was a lesson for Trouble Shooter Electic to always have the Owner sign the agreement.""

I am very pleased. The big wiring project was going from 100 amp to 200 amp service, and new wiring for the basement/living room. The house is 110 years old, and the existing wiring was a rats nest of add-ons. Further, the new living room design has all the wiring exposed. It is all lovely and works just right. He even figured out a wiring screw-up done sometime in the 1930s. When I need an electrician, he is the man.
